It has a safety feature to save little fingers and is easy for kids to open up and close without help. No button needs to be pushed at all. Just push up when needed and pull down to close. If the kids are small then two can fit under the umbrella. I like that there are no sharp points to poke the kids and the metal isn’t too sharp either so it shouldn’t get stuck in their hair. It’s the perfect size for a child and includes a rounded handle for easy gripping. This umbrella is easy to use, opens and stays in place. My child is also able to close it when needed. He loves to hold it and it is very sturdy especially since he is rough with a lot of things at this age. I like that the material is a more plastic feel cause I think water will flow off of it better rather than if it were a cloth material. Both of my kids, a girl and a boy could use this umbrella. It also covers two kids at once which is amazing for my two little ones because they often walk to the bus stop together, and that eliminates needing to us 2 umbrellas. Not only is the size perfect for them as they are ages 5 and 11, but the colors are gender neutral and it’s such a fun pattern, making it very appealing, but also so fun because of the see-through part they can watch the raindrops drop on the umbrella.
