A: I bought three of these, and all three stopped working after a few weeks. This product is terrible. Why does it break so easily?

submitted byKids2 - 3 years agoBrand expertA: I would have LOVED to have purchased this item for a 12 and a 14 month old, BUT so, so many customers have complained about its rolling/moving function stopped working literally within a handful or less days. I see the responses to questions asked by actual purchasers have been largely ignored OR either Target or the manufacturer has answered those customers with a "Call Me" response. WELL, when you do call to ask for assistance, it better not be the day after your sanitation/trash services have been because they WON'T (not can't) be able to provide any assistance unless you still have the original cardboard container in which it's sold. With the sheer number of identical complaints, the manufacturer HAS TO BE AWARE of the defect that causes it to literally stop working. Instead, of doing a recall & issuing refunds, they prefer to sell out of their current inventory to unsuspecting customers -- and then, POSSIBLY fix the defect in future manufacturing runs. This is corporate greed at its very finest. Shame. What a shame. I CANNOT STRMRESS TGUS ENOUGH --- ABSOLUTELY, DO NOT PURCHASE THIS.

Comes broke and dosent roll. I'm So dad and mad we pais $20 for something that fosent work, and how we need to open the box to get it, we can't change.

My mother in law got this for my son. We opened it, pressed the button, and all it did was make noise. I didn’t buy it, so I assumed that was all it did. Just read the rest of the reviews and saw that it IS supposed to roll on its own. So ours just came broken :(

My son LOVED this toy but it broke after a week of use. I bought a new one to replace it and it immediately broke as well. This toy would be great if it didn't keep shutting off. Waste of money for a faulty build.

I’m Not sure if it’s supposed to work the way it does, but it has an extremely short run time and not hold babies attention for more than 10-15 seconds. It does maybe one roll and makes noise for a very short time and stops. You have to keep pressing the button to keep it running. Would not buy again or recommend this toy. There’s better ones out there. I was hoping it was similar to that moving crab toy but far from it! Don’t waste your money on this monkey.

Really cute and fun toy for a crawler or early walker when it works. That being said, we got as a gift for my 1-year-old's birthday and it didn't roll so I exchanged it. The new one rolled for about a week and then it stopped.

Just bought this for my grandson and took it out of the package and tried to use it. But, to our surprise nothing so we changed the batteries and one was burnt so we are thinking it melted something internally. So now we are going to buy a new one and if it does not work then we will not be buying anything else from this company which is a shame because we bought from this company since our kids were little and now we have 5 grandson’s and 2 more on the way.
