The fan features durable galvanized steel housing and a white polymeric grille that can be painted to match any room's decor. For fast installation, the fan offers steel mounting brackets with keyhole slots.

I bought this to replace an existing unit that went out after eight years of use. The new unit wasn’t much more that a replacement motor & blade so I figured I’d just replace the whole thing. I am now sorry I did so. The new unit seems to have gone down in metal quality/thinner material and I cannot keep the blades aligned with the new unit. You practically breath on it and the fan blade starts rubbing on the sides. Unfortunately I already threw out the old housing and got a headache on my hands. Brian seems to have gone downhill.

The fan is doing what we need it to. When it arrived, it was a little dented. We wanted to install it, so we did not ask for a replacement due to time constraint.

We just put the fan in our bathroom. It's a power house. You can feel the air being sucked out. However it's deafening loud. It is louder than my electric beard trimmer. Is there any way to Quiet it down?

Thank you for taking the time to review your model 505. You can install a variable speed control switch with this model such as our 57W. When you control the speed of the motor, you can reduce the sound as well. We are very happy to learn how pleased you are with the performance of your new ventilation fan. The fan runs great. But, in place it is a bit louder than the demo fan was at the home improvement store. The only issue we have is that the dampers do not automatically close without some manual coaxing. Do not know why this is or how to remedy the problem. It was also missing one of the small rubber stops for one of the dampers when it came out of the box. We discussed this with the store where we purchased it and they informed us that Broan Customer service should take care of that at no cost. Upon notification to Broan they promptly shipped two rubber bumpers at no cost. We are very pleased about that.
