Bugaboo Giraffe Junior Pillow Seat Cushion for High Chair - Gray Weave

We were ecstatic when we heard stellar panel was sending us this high chair, it was one we always saw and commented on how nice it looked! After using it for a few weeks I think we have a good handle on its pros and cons. As you can see from the pictures it is a compact high chair, and a very attractive high chair. We have mostly used it in the toddler setting as our 3 year old likes the ability to climb in and out with ease vs one of our barstools. But the cushions are a MUST have, they detach very easily for washing ant provide a nice comfy chair for your little one. The main reason I gave a 3 star review is this is something basic enough that I felt should have been included with the chair for that price point. I have seen much cheaper high chairs come with much more. While this is a higher end, nice looking product I like the kiddo having more that just wood to sit on. The product itself is very nice and well made and would definitely recommend if you are looking at this high chair!

Overall Impression My overall impression of the junior cushion is that it’s fine—it does the job, but it didn’t feel like a game-changer in our routine. Look & Design The design is simple and clean, which I appreciate. It fits well with the style of the high chair and doesn’t feel bulky or distracting. Comfort & Support My baby seemed comfortable and snug while sitting in it. Because it fits so closely, less food slips onto the cushion compared to others we’ve tried, which is definitely a plus. Ease of Use Attaching and removing the cushion was straightforward. That said, even though it helps minimize mess, at the end of the day it’s still another piece to clean. Feeding Routine & Independence The cushion does make the seat feel cozier and supportive, which gave my little one a sense of security during mealtime. However, I didn’t notice a big difference in independence—though it may be more helpful for younger babies just starting out. Overall It’s a nice add-on, especially for extra comfort, but for us it felt more “okay” than essential.

I received this high chair accessory from the Stellar Product Testing Panel and my first thought was what a nice fabric! It's a subtle herringbone pattern in a very nice mid-tone grey. It fits in nicely with the rest of our furniture and doesn't scream baby, which is wonderful for a product that my son will grow into and hopefully use for quite a few years. While we are a bit too little to use the Bugaboo Giraffe High Chair without the actual high chair attachment, I set him on there briefly to see what he thought and it definitely looked comfortable! The fabric is a bit textured, but soft, and the cushion is firm for support but comfortable. The cushions are fairly easy to put on — if you do it the right way. I have put them on backwards at first every time I have replaced them after washing, but not docking a star for that because it is definitely user error. They stay secure by the fabric folding over the bottom of the seat, and the last flap is somewhat difficult to get on, but again not worth docking anything. Just shows that they are safe and secure to sit on! They are extremely easy to take off to throw in the wash, but I haven't had to do that yet. I will definitely be swapping out our Bugaboo Giraffe Baby Cushion for the Junior Pillow Seat when my guy is big enough.

I really like this junior cushion for my high chair. The color is great and I really like the texture the cushion has giving it a bit of depth. The cushion appears to be nice and comfortable and my toddler seemed super relaxed and comfortable sitting on it. It is super easy to attach and remove when needed and also if it needs some deeper cleaning than just a simple wipe down. My toddler is happy with how he can climb in and out without needing any help and get comfortable with the cushion in place. For my almost 3 year old, it’s not really necessary at this stage, since she can sit just fine without it (and it is one more thing for me to clean). That said, she loves using it and even asks for it - mostly, I think, because it feels special and fancy, not because she needs the extra support/comfort. It looks great, is comfy, and is easy to add and remove. It wipes decently well, but it is already stained despite washing and treating right away. It hasn't made a huge impact on our feeding routine, but it adds a nice layer of comfort and does help her feel more “grown up” and independent at the table. I do think it is a great accessory - just more of a nice to have than a must have for older toddlers. I imagine this might make quite a difference for that initial transition for some younger babes.

One of my favorite things about the Giraffe high chair is that it turns into a chair that we can use long after we're done needing a high chair, and this pillow is perfect for making it even comfier. It’s comfortable and love the clean, organic modern look. My little one seems to love the cushion too! I’ve also tested it out myself and can confirm it is very comfortable. It takes a bit of effort to get it on but I won’t need to worry about removing it too often, just for the occasional cleaning. The chair itself is made out of solid wood so the cushion definitely helps for feedings, especially if your little one takes a while to finish their meal like mine.
