When delivered on time and retrieved within 6-8 hours of delivery, your ButcherBox products should arrive refrigerator cold—below 40°F as measured with a food thermometer. Your meats could arrive partly frozen (solid) or frozen and can be placed in the freezer for later use.

Always place frozen meats on a tray or dish when thawing and follow the USDA recommended safe thawing guidelines.

Amazing, delicious box of meat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This variety pack from butcher box was delicious. The chicken cooked up very tenderly in the instant pot even from being frozen, and was very easy to shred. I love to cook ground beef ahead season and keep in the freezer, it’s the best ground beef I’ve ever had . I love that it’s 100% grass fed and finished and it has no added hormones or antibiotics! The steak tips are also really good. I like to keep my pretty rare and I cooked them really easily in my cast-iron frying pan. I’m also really looking forward to the bacon that comes with this box and the chicken sausage which comes fully cooked. This meat keeps great in the freezer for when you need it. I received an incentive to write this review.

Absolutely delicious protein variety pack

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an absolutely delicious box of protein for my family. It is all very good quality meat. It was shipped very quickly, much faster then expected so I was glad I was home to accept it and put it in the freezer. All the meat was completely frozen and well packaged when it came but the dry ice was almost gone. I like how the meat is packaged in manageable sizes so that I don’t have to thaw out more then I wanted. I received an incentive to write this review.

delicious fresh well packed good variety

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this box is so great as a working parent of three! it comes with a great variety of meat, and most importantly to me it was packaged securely so i know it is safe to consume after mail delivery. it was packages with dry ice and SO cold even though it sat on my porch in the warm summer heat for several hours before i arrived home to unpack it. so far we have cooked some chicken breasts and a steak and both were delicious and fresh! I received an incentive to write this review.

Great option for families to stock your fridge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Favorites Variety Box by Butcher Box is an amazing buy, especially for a large family that goes through quite a bit of protein. The box contained steaks, pork chops, ground beef, sausage, bacon, and chicken. Everything looks like it was packaged fresh and will be amazing quality. We tried the bacon so far and it was delicious. Will definitely be exploring the other boxes and ordering again! I received an incentive to write this review.
