A: Hi Babi - Butterball does not add MSG to Butterball Turkey or to Butterball line extension products. According to USDA regulations, MSG must be listed in the ingredient statement if it is added to food products.

My husband created a salt and sage brine for this turkey. We thawed out the turkey thoroughly then put it in in the cooled brine. On Thanksgiving morning, I seasoned the inside of the turkey with ground sage, poultry seasoning and roasted it with some cut and skinned apples. Best turkey we've ever had and the breast meat was still delectabe the next day.
