Breakfast Taco's
This has been my go-to chorizo for decades now. For those who don’t like the fattiness/greasiness, you may be happier with Spanish style chorizo. But for breakfast tacos, this is the best out there in my opinion. After I cook it, I remove it to a bowl then cook my potatoes in the remaining grease etc. Then I remove those to a plate and then cook the scrambled eggs. I put it all in a flour tortilla, then add grated cheese, taco sauce, and sour cream. It’s the bomb. Sure, the quality could be a bit better and I wish it was a little less salty but I haven’t found anything even close to comparable.

Not that good
I was not a fan of this chorizo. It tasted kind of smoky not in a good way, but in a bad way. I won’t be buying again.

Never again
I don’t understand all the positive reviews. Although I have to agree with all the negatives! This “mystery meat” never crumbled, never fully cooked and stayed mushy. The smell was SO weird! The consistency looked like vomit. I couldn’t even serve it to anyone in my house not even my dog. I can’t. Horrific

Chorizo is amazing!
I been cooking this chorizo with my eggs since I was a kid and its absolutely delicious 😋. I've used both the pork chorizo and beef chorizo. I'm assuming all the negative commentors thought that chorizo could be eaten by itself or as a side dish and they just dont know your supposed to cook it with something else. They are truly missing out, try cooking it with eggs you will thank me later!

If you have a bland palate, sure, I guess?
Run from this chorizo. It’s the worst brand of chorizo I’ve ever tried. Like many other’s are commenting, it’s mushy and doesn’t yield anything once cooked. Unlike many other’s experience though, mine gave little oil so it stuck to my pan and I had to add oil to it. Admittedly, I might’ve had my electric oven too high (user fault, still figuring it out 😅) The flavor, if you can even describe it as that, is just a mild weird spice and salt. There’s no actual chorizo flavor whatsoever. There are much better options in the market, that’s affordable, and high quality. This has to be the most Americanized chorizo on the market imo, lol.

My go to
All the bad comments are funny. The meat has to cook until all the oil is out of it and then it starts to crumble. If it’s not crumbly, it’s not done cooking. This meat is GOOD!!! I’ve been eating it for years

Mushy chorizo, greasy mess
Greasy mushy texture. No actual meat and doesn’t crumble. Save yourself money and time and buy another brand!

Don't do it.
There is hardly any meat. It is mostly some greasy red slop/paste that doesn’t cook well and never gets crispy. Do not get this, not even in a pinch.

Didn't find it to be flavorful, just salty.
I have never had chorizo before but at .50 I picked up 3 packages. I thought I could make a crumble and add it as a flavor supporting actor. It just wouldn’t crumble. I sat on it at high heat for a half an hour and it just held on to the oil and started to smoke. Didn’t have much flavor or heat. I thought the package was red but it was the actual chorizo. But I don’t know why it’s so red because it’s not spicy or hot. It’s just a salt bomb. Maybe need more of it for the flavor or heat so you have to like the salt that comes with it. I put a breakfast sausage on my sandwich and they have some salt but I can always omit all the other salt from the sandwich. This is just way too much salt to overcome to use any significant amount for me.

Terrible
Besides the fact that it looks unpleasant when cooked, it made my son and me sick. As a Mexican, I do not recommend this.

Not chorizo
Disgusting. I’ve tried it more than once thinking it will get better. Nope, simply nasty, pasty and with some weird aftertaste. My husband got upset stomach twice with this item. I know what good chorizo from other brands taste like. This is a big NO.

Great product but beware if not used to organs
It’s cheap and super tasty if you cook it with eggs and let the grease cook down a bit. Make sure it gets super crispy. If you don’t like the idea of organ meat or are used to pork muscle meat sausage this might be a texture you won’t love. I eat a couple rolls of this stuff a month and absolutely love it when cooked well

Mexican Chorizo - NOT Spanish cured chorizo
I’d wager than 99% of the bad reviews are from people who don’t know the difference between raw Mexican chorizo and cured Spanish chorizo. If you know the difference and want raw chorizo, this is what you’re looking for. And if you’re skeeved out by organ meat, don’t buy any sausage products.
