Pretty much as soon as it hit the pan it turned to mush which surprised me. I had to cook it awhile to cook the moisture out and then it finally browned. The result was tiny little pieces and maybe half a cup total. It’s very salty. I had purchased it to put on eggs and potatoes so that worked out. I would consider this an ingredient, not something to eat on its own. For the price I’ll buy again.

I get that you’re supposed to cook the moisture out of it and use as an ingredient/mix-in, and I do love huevos rancheros and the like but yeah no that still didn’t work for us. The whole family couldn’t get over how extremely salty this was. And we like salty food. Yuck. Only good thing was the price.

This chorizo is pure mush. No three-dimensional texture or chunks of meat at all. It is like a liquid meat puree. It is half meat half water, so you are really paying for a bunch of water with this. Flavor is good but again this is so cheap. They need to remove all of the liquid they add to it and make it more like actual ground bits of meat. I would call this “Chorizo flavored water sauce with meat flavored puree.” Unappetizing and looks like diarrhea. Get the Johnsonville brand instead. WAY better.

This barely qualifies as meat. Read the ingredients. It’s a bunch of organ meat and spices. Pork is the 4th ingredient, meaning it’s less present than the organs used. When cooking, it is slimy and smells odd. It also doesn’t cook like meat, but rather dissolve into an oil essentially.

I love chorizo but when I started cooking this it has such a slimy texture, not like meat at all. I was expecting it to cook like regular sausage or ground beef. The smell was truly horrendous, I looked up reviews to make sure mine wasn’t a bad roll, and the reviews confirmed it was not just me. I can’t believe target would sell such a terrible product. When I opened it it was so lumpy of white stuff, I thought it was fat but after other reviews it’s a mix of lymph nodes and other meat byproducts.

You are all so funny! You are supposed to cook all the moisture out, like ground beef and then add the eggs. It’s delicious that way- especially with some sour cream and/or cheese on a tortilla or even just on its own! Most of those leaving negative reviews aren’t cooking it correctly.
