It definitely gives you the caffeine you need to start the day! I was in focus mode through my work day. To decrease the strong black coffee taste, add a splash of your favorite milk or any creamer! I purchased the unsweetened to because I like to just have my coffee block sometimes or I will do a little bit of cold foam, but no sweetner. The flavor was rich, the smell was the perfect intense (I love the smell of coffee), and it had a nice full flavor. A bit of bitter is expected with espresso, but like a dark chocolate minimal bitter. So needless to say, I did drink this black. The only thing was, I don’t understand why the label would say unsweetened, black espresso would be labeled to have more than trace amounts of sodium, carbs and protein. It should be like 10% of what’s on the label. I will be repurchasing! This would be great for road trips, or camping where drive thru wastes time, or making coffee is a pain, or just gross in a hotel coffee maker. You do need a refrigerator or cooler, tho. I generally don’t buy premade coffee since most is not good. Too processed, too much sugar. Almost immediately, I also ended up purchasing the vanilla flavor, too, and it was just the right amount of sweet.
