Cafe Bustelo Dark Roast Ground Coffee - 11oz

So for this coffee, I used cream and sugar. However, upon opening the bag, the aroma was very strong and pleasant. I did enjoy it, and the dark coffee drinkers really appreciated this bag. I definitely would purchase this for those who drink dark coffee that I host.

I tried this coffee black at first and it was a little too bold for me at first. I added a packet of turbinado sugar, and it was just right. The sweetness took the edge of bitterness away. This coffee is so robust with flavor that you could brew this over ice or add any of your favorite additives like creams or syrups and it would make for a very flavorful coffee. This coffee can withstand being a little diluted with ice and its a substantial base for other flavor additives. The bold coffee lovers will love this coffee.

It’s smooth, full-bodied, and has that rich, roasted flavor with a hint of dark chocolate and toasted nuts. It’s not too bitter or acidic, which I really appreciate it even tastes decent black, but works even better with a little cream. The smell alone when you open the bag is amazing super warm and comforting, like a cozy morning. The packaging is simple but nice, and the resealable bag actually keeps the coffee fresh. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a 2 pack of Cafe Bustelo coffee from Influenster in exchange for my review. One of them is the Dark Roast pre-ground coffee. I am not a coffee drinker, so I gave this to my husband to try. He loves coffee and drinks it daily. He says although it is a dark blend with smoky notes, it doesn't taste as strong. I am guessing it is partially due to it being ground instead of whole bean, as whole bean retains more flavor and freshness. The bag is slightly smaller than the other brands I am used to seeing, at 10 oz. The price is similar to other coffee brands. I would purchase this brand again but explore the whole bean option.

Its bold flavor is exactly what you'd expect and more. It has the typical useful folding top packaging with the wire to keep air out. The one thing I had was the grounds were too fine and floated past the filter and into the coffee pot. In the future I'll purchase beans to avoid that small snafu.
