Not waterproof. I purchased this to protect my brand new mattress and was extremely upset after a pet accident, that the mattress was damp underneath and the mess had leaked through. Not happy.

This “mattress protector” caused my mattress to mold inside!! Do not put this on when you receive your new mattress. I guess your mattress has glues that need to evaporate when it arrives and expands in your house. We covered our mattress when we got it, which caused mold to grow on the inside of the cover. Our house does not have mold anywhere. We only noticed the mold when we unzipped the cover to wash it. Look into getting the non zip covers, you’ll save yourself the hassle of having to purchase a new mattress. Do your research on mattress covers that zip completely. Do not purchase!!

Horrible quality, had stains that look like coffee on it, right out of the package.

False advertising, It is not waterproof at all.

This is essentially a mattress-sized plastic ziptop bag. You need to slide the mattress into it, then zip it up, I guess. I thought I was buying a more traditional cover that you put on like a fitted sheet, so I'll be returning.

Ordered this today. Went on smooth smells really good! My IKEA foam mattress fit perfectly!

I like this item - so much that I just bought a new one. After washing it and putting it on my bed, There were two holes by the Velcro under the zipper. There’s no way I’m going to take it off and exchange it for another one after it was so hard to get on but it’s really frustrating.

3 stars because It does what it’s intended to do, protects my mattress. The one I purchased also didn’t rip or have a strong scent like what other reviews have stated. Yes, it is plasticky but with some decent sheets you can’t really tell the difference when it’s on your mattress. Here’s why I won’t purchase another one. Drying it is a huge pain, it has to be dried on a low/no heat setting and so it takes forever to dry. You could also try air drying it in the sun for a few hours, but depending on the size you get, it’s still a huge pain. Putting it on is also extremely difficult in that you need two people to do it. Your mattress is supposed to zip into it. It doesn’t just go over your mattress like a sheet. Sometimes it’s so difficult to dry and put on that I don’t even bother with putting it on the mattress which defeats the purpose of buying it in the first place.

While I was installing it onto my bed with the help of a friend it ripped like some cheap paper -____- do not recommend!

Mattresses are so expensive! A cover will help it last longer. This cover was easy to wash, dry, apply and zip. It’s also very soft.

If you want to sleep on a plastic garbage bag that stinks to high heaven then this mattress cover is for you.

I’d love to know where the cotton is! The box clearly says “ultimate cotton” so where is it? This is a big plastic bag with a zipper. No way I’m sleeping on this!

Noisy. Like sleeping on a plastic shower curtain. Fabric does not breathe. Woke up hot and sweaty.

Not really water proof. Urine saturated the mattress. Went right through. Disappointed!
