Stephanie and Vaughn kept pushing it to the back of their minds, while so many other responsibilities pressed upon them. They would prepare later. But the Anti-Christ's arrival surprises them and he devastates Stephanie while Vaughn was supposed to protect her. Neither Stephanie nor Vaughn know how to overcome the terrible harm.
