Q: Do the handles get hot?

The cookware features stay-cool stainless steel handles that generally remain cool during stovetop use, but they can heat up with high stove temperatures or large burners. Exercise caution while cooking on stovetops, ovens, or broilers. Short handles, high heat, and extended cooking times may cause handles to become hot. A: Hi, LG08! Thank you for your interest in our Calphalon products. Calphalon Premier Nonstick with MineralShield 10pc Space-Saving Cookware Set is not suited for an induction stovetop. Only our stainless steel and cast iron cookware are induction-capable. Induction cooktops contain high-frequency electromagnets. I bought it three years ago. After a month, you could see wear signs. Even the bottom part looks weird. One of the pans never sat properly on the stove. The greatest feature is the space-saving option. Heavy wearing off so soon. I only kept using it because I paid too much just to throw it away. I think you have to do your deeper research before you decide to buy cookware.

I got this set as a Christmas present about 2 years ago. I’m not happy with them then and still not happy now. They started peeling almost immediately and come to find out we been eating teflon. Yum! I will be purchasing new cookware with no teflon.

I purchased this set in March of 2023 and would not buy it again. At first it was good, but after about 6 months the coating on the bottom began chipping and peeling off. It has also scratched really easily which doesn’t make sense since I use only silicon and wooden cooking utensils.

Don't waste your money on these pans! I was so excited to receive this set as a gift, but was disappointed very quickly. Within weeks of casual use (following ALL the recommendations from the company), one of the pots became scratched. The warranty process to replace it was awful & took forever. When a 2nd pot became scratched mere months later, I was shocked to have my warranty claim denied (because the set was purchased on Amazon). After less than 2 years of using these pans (primarily using wood or silicone utensils, washing by hand &/or by our nearly new dishwasher), at least half are scratched (& I'm uncomfortable using). Don't waste your money!

Very bad experience!!! Wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. Bought this set and with in 6 months , I started seeing the wear off of non stick layer on every pan even with minimal use. Never used any metal spoons on this and still seeing this. Feels like a very poor quality. Tried contacting customer care several times and they ask to send a pictures and the pictures wouldn’t catch the problems I am talking about. Also their uploading portal is not a pleasant experience either.

2 years in and they’re going into the garbage! We NEVER use metal utensils and never wash the in the dishwasher and 2 years in, the teflon is flaking off and into our food! Also some of the handles have started to come loose, a bit wobbly.

These are the best pans I have ever owned, period. After years of buying cheap new pans after their fake non stick coating wore off I was blown away when I finally used something of quality. I received them as a wedding gift five years ago and they have served me well ever since. They are high quality, super easy to clean, and the stacking lids make them easy to store. My only issue with them is that they do not work with induction. I am currently having to get rid of my beloved pans but hopefully that means someone else will get to experience their greatness. If Calphalon makes an induction version I am almost certainly going to get them. Do yourself a favor and add these to your cart or your registry, you are done searching, you've found it.

I've had these pans for six years (bought as a set). The 10" fry pan has warped and the 2.5 qt sauce pan has peeled on the outer layer. I don't want to purchase the whole set again but they don't sell these individually. The idea of stacking has been a game changer in my limited kitchen storage but they don't last as long as they say for sure.

Love the pans but totally HATE the flat top lids!! Worst lids ever! If you are boiling anything it lets the water or sauce or ANY liquid out. Even the steam drip from the lids. Whoever designed this dropped the ball bad. Wish I would’ve kept my old lids for my newly replaced cookware
