Handles get extremely hot
I bought this saucepan, along with the 2.5 qt. saucepan, almost two months ago. Although both pans are pretty, and heat up quickly, the handles get dangerously hot. I have tried using silicone sleeves on the handles, but still have to be very careful. I do not recommend either of these saucepans, due to the heat transfer to the handles. Note that I have not had this problem with previous Calphalon products.

Not so happy.
I am plenty pleased with the construction of the pan. I was, however, unhappy with the color. I thought it was the same as a set I had just purchased as I wanted it to match. It definitely was not. Not only is the color different but the style was different too.

Lid holds water in it , almost burnt my wrist ! For this expensive pot the lid is the worst I have ever seen ! They are definitely down scaling ! Very disappointed and they are replacing it with the same lid !!!!

Good little pot
So far, i really like this pot. It's a little bigger than what it replaced. The flat bottom works on my glasstop stove. It holds up to the dishwasher. The one thing I don't like is the handle. I can't hang it on my homemade pot rack because the hole is too small.

Returned it
Returned it, the lid leaked, water got in then drained into the food I was cooking. Had to throw it out. Very gross, dirty dishwater leaking into your food

Why did lid styles change?
I was replacing older pans that were much loved. These new ones have different lids with handles that get hot. My old pans had a rubber wrap on handle to keep them cool. I don’t like hot handles!

Lid too hot to touch
Warning; the handle on the glass lid of the 1.5 Qt. sauce pan gets extremely hot so you must use a pot holder.

Great pot!
Perfect size for everyday use. Heavy material that won’t warp over time. Non stick surface works great when cooking and quick easy clean up. Only thing is handle can get a little hot but I found rubber covers to keep on while cooking.

A Pot with a finish
I'm so tired of buying the cheaper pots and pans and end up replacing them. The non-stick surface wears off or gets scratched easily and it's not longer non-stick. I appreciate the better breed of non-stick surface even if it costs more as long as it lives up to it's cost in life expectancy.

Good pot but not for noodles or rice
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this pot last night for the first time. I was excited to try the lid strainer. When it was time to strain the noodles, they went into the sink. I also don't think the lid fits tight enough to make rice the way I like to prepare it (with a tight fitting lid).
