Replacement pot is good, but not what I expected
I bought these to replace a couple of pots that were worn out I don’t like the strainer lid I don’t care for the pour spouts on the pots I thought I was gonna get exactly the same type of pot that I had before, but I guess I didn’t read the description closely enough I never thought anybody would try to put a strainer lid in a pot Prefer a normal pot

Cheap - Hot Handle
This pot isn't like the other Calphalon items I have. The pot and handle are much cheaper and the handle is hollow metal that gets so hot when cooking that you can't touch it at all. Have to use a pot holder to even be able to touch the handle.

Handles get extremely hot
I purchased this pan, along with the 3.5 qt. sauce pan and have been using them for the past few weeks. Although they are pretty pans and heat up quickly, the handles become unbearably hot. I tried using a silicone sleeve on the handles, but still have to be very careful. I can't recommend this pan, or the 3.5 qt. pan, due to the severe heat transfer to the handles. This has never happened in the past, with other Calphalon products I've owned, and I am very disappointed.

scratches inside sauce pan
Our 2.5 quart pan has scratches on the bottom and sides of the inside of the pan. This has occurred over the past several years and seems to be getting worse. The pans finish is not in keeping with a quality product..

Pretty good but some flaws
The pot seems very sturdy and I like the feature in the lid with the strainer. However, I’m not a fan of this hollow handle because you can’t really clean inside of it. I have to specifically angle the pot in certain directions to rinse the soap out of it. Also, after one use with a plastic spoon, I noticed lines that are remaining at the bottom of the pot in a circular pattern. Not scratched, of course. Seems way too new to show any wear.

Burned vs new
Sorry to have destroyed my original in a stovetop fire. The replacement is wonderful. Love the (new to me) lid with slots.

Exactly what I needed
I have owned Calphalon products for years and love them! As long as you don't use "non-stick-safe" scrubbies (despite what those products state), this saucepan with last for years. I already had a 1 qt. and a much larger soup pot, and needed something in between.

Definitely not as well made
I bought a replacement for my old 2.5 qt sauce pan. The new one is now made in China (possibly the old one was also, but the new clearly states so), but the biggest difference is in the handle. The old pan had a nice machined aluminum handle that was heat resistant. The new pan has a stamped sheet metal handle that gets quite hot. Unacceptable.
