Q: Does this unit beep or have any sound? I have a fur baby who is sensitive to beeping noises. Thanks!
A: This unit does not, in fact, beep. The only sound it makes is the soft mechanical click of the automatic shut-off activating. I've used this kettle almost every day for an entire year, love it!
submitted byHannah - 6 months agoA: This unit does beep when it completes a boiling cycle and cannot be muted. If you would like a model that can be muted, we recommend out RJ11-18-CTI or RJ11-17-TCTI-V2.

Q: Does the water come into contact with plastic?
A: Possibly. But you can fully remove the plastic lid before pouring the hot water.

A: The unit can get hot to the touch, we recommend using the heat-safe handle when handling the kettle after heating water.

Q: Does water get ionized after heating in this kettle? It usually does when it comes in direct contact with the heating element. Based on the answers to previously asked questions regarding heating element placement, I am still not sure if it is the case.
A: The water does not get ionized when heated in this kettle, as ionized water typically has added minerals. The water also does not come into direct contact with the heating element, it will directly come into contact with the stainless steel bottom of the kettle.
