A: This unit does not, in fact, beep. The only sound it makes is the soft mechanical click of the automatic shut-off activating. I've used this kettle almost every day for an entire year, love it!

A: This unit does beep when it completes a boiling cycle and cannot be muted. If you would like a model that can be muted, we recommend out RJ11-18-CTI or RJ11-17-TCTI-V2.

A: It is possible that while pouring, water may come into contact with the lid.

A: Possibly. But you can fully remove the plastic lid before pouring the hot water.

A: All of the parts of the unit that come into contact with water are BPA free. This unit is safe to use.

A: The kettle will beep when it has finished boiling.

A: The kettle is made of borosilicate glass.

A: Yes, you can use bags or loose tea in the infuser. We do advise ensuring that the infuser is not packed too tightly, to allow the tea to brew properly.

A: This model has a maximum capacity of 1 L.

A: This kettle features a glass carafe and the handle, lid and base are plastic.

A: This kettle does not use batteries. The kettle carafe is cordless and the kettle sits atop a corded base to heat.
