    Love my electric kettle

    I've owned a 1.7-liter borosilicate glass Chefman electric kettle for over 9 years, use it multiple times a day, and consider it one of my essential kitchen appliances. When I needed a smaller kettle to use on a trip, I immediately looked for a Chefman. I am beyond pleased with this little 1-liter kettle. It has features I didn't expect on such a basic kettle - like the easy on/off switch, rapid-heat technology, and the lift-off lid. Being the happy owner of both the 1.7-liter kettle and the smaller 1-liter kettle, I highly recommend both these kettles.

    Hot Water Kettle

    The kettle is easy to use. Heats water to a boil quickly. The spout has a splash shield for pouring out the boiling water. I recommend the kettle as a time saving kitchen stable.

    Leaking and rusting

    I bought this Chefman electric kettle (Model RJ11-10-GMRL-DS), and after normal use, a brown, rust-colored liquid started leaking right out of the bottom base and onto my countertop. It completely ruined the batch of tea I had just made. Disappointed by the poor build quality and seal failure—definitely expected it to last longer than 5 months >

    Buyer Beware Rust and Stains quickly

    Please dont buy this kettle. I have only had it about 6 months (maybe less) and the mesh filter at the spout has rust stains. There is also a rust spit on the interior bottom. There are also dark.spots that appear after using that are difficult to remove. I ALWAYS empty and dry out my kettle once the water cools, so this is a manufacturer defect.

    Too early to tell

    So far, I find the carafe heavy when filled with 1 liter of water I am very.old and have difficulty lifting so it's not a flaw in the product.
