    Get the larger size 1.7L, it's faster, easier to hold, and easier to clean.

    We owned the larger sized kettle (1.7L) for 10 years and loved it. It was accidentally broken recently and we opted to buy the smaller size. Used it once and found there's a significant difference between the two. This one doesn't heat as fast and the lid (and guard) don't go up all the way making it difficult to clean inside. Lastly, the shape of the handle causes it to slip out of your hand quite easily when pouring a cup. The larger unit doesn't have those issues, so we'll take this one back and get the big one again. Overall opinion: It might suit your needs if you make just a cup of coffee/tea now and then, but you'll probably like the larger one better.

    I'm a Little teapot

    I bought this to replace my chefman model that broke. This was on sale and looked similar so I gave it a try however this model is much smaller. It is short and stout. It lights up at the bottom and boils water quickly, as it should. The only downfall is that it can only make two decent cups of tea / coffee. The other issue that I personally had was that it didn't fit under my water spout. It's too wide to fill it with the filtered water on my refrigerator door. O 1 ther than that it's a good product and it fits very nicely under my coffee bar.
