Q: Why does the description say the carafe is BPA free on the inside? Isn’t it a glass interior? Does any plastic come in contact with the water? Also can this be used for pour over coffee and can you heat the water without boiling

Fast Little Tea Kettle!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This kettle is small but mighty. The size is compact, but it holds plenty of water. The water heats up fast. It’s faster and easier than heating a traditional stovetop kettle. Plus it looks pretty cool, with its blue light glowing as it heats. I use it mostly for tea, but this would also be useful for hot cocoa, instant oatmeal, or really anything else that needs hot water. The automatic shutoff is a great feature and gives me peace of mind.

This is a compact design, and fits well on my counter without taking up too much space. It does not customize temp for different teas, but if you want a kettle to simply boil, this is a great option. This kettle can hold up to 1.2 Litre and features an auto shut off once the water comes to a rolling boil. This feature is really nice so you don't have to worry about the kettle dry boiling. I used this kettle multiple times during our recent camping trip to heat water for instant potatoes, grits, oatmeal and pour over coffee. It heats the water up very quickly and is easy to wipe out the excess moisture for storage.

When you need a nice cup of hot water for tea or to add to your cup of noodles as well as oatmeal it's my go to. the blue indicator light that turns on while heating and when the water reaches the temperature the blue light indicator turns off.

And especially handy is the fact that the cord retracts back into the bottom of the kettle is a neat feature and makes it easy for storing either on the counter or in the pantry. The auto-shut off feature is really handy, how many times I have the left a kettle on to boil and the water evaporates, not with this auto shut off feature. I love it!

The carafe boils the water to a full rolling boil & by far the best feature is it shuts off when it is fully boiled. It’s beautiful with clear glass walls, blue light around the bottom and fun to watch the bubbles as it boils. Plus it boil very quickly. My only complaint is that it doesn’t quite fit in my fridge water dispenser but it’s probably the fault of my 25yr old fridge.

Aesthetic and fun kettle
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such an aesthetically pleasing appliance. It looks beautiful on the counter but also so fun to watch boil while glowing in the blue light. I was also impressed by how quickly it brought the water to boil (~2 minutes). Another great and appreciated feature is the cord wrap contained within the base. The reason for the 4 stars vs 5 is for two reasons. One pet peeve of mine is the location of the printed warning label on the very front of the unit above the "Hamilton Beach" logo and next to the liquid measurement labels. It should have been printed in a less conspicuous spot. The second, most important reason, is the amount of liquid allowed at one time. Looking at the kettle, the 'max' line is roughly halfway up. When I want to boil water, I like to fill the entire kettle up for multiple cups. This limitation is likely due to the glass container but still a bit of a let down. Not terrible, still a great kettle!
