This is a lovely set of cards with tremendous eye-appeal! I appreciate the simple but bright color block design with vivd images. My classroom is filled with visually appealing hands-on materials and these cards are a beautiful addition. Even though I have moved to 2nd Grade, from 1st, this set is still useful! I use it to refresh geometric shapes, reinforce number names and spelling, and create on-the-spot- phonics I Spy games, as suggested. The key rings are made of sturdy metal and the dividers are helpful as I shifted the cards to a sturdy storage container instead keeping them in the original packaging to allow easy-access and preservation of the set! These are made for flashcards, but I decided to pair them with apple cutouts and create a review game. I love that the cards are study and double-sided. There is something on both sides of every card to not waste valuable space. I will use them for more than just one thing and can see myself continually pulling these out. I'm so glad that I have this these flash cards in my class! They are great to use as a transition tool, while students are waiting for the bathroom or to get water from the water fountain! I love that there is a hole punched already and come with rings. This makes it easy to change out the cards. There are so many activities and games you could do with these cards! I teach kinder and use them for small group instruction! One matching game we play is I love using the pictures and having the kids match the picture to the letter of beginning sounds! Would be great for prek too!!! I am so excited to have this set in my classroom! I also find the rings really helpful, I can easily carry it with me in my teacher apron. Sometimes when we are waiting on line, or on the carpet, I need something that I can use to engage students. These flashcards are just right for that. I can also use these for assessments and small group work. Overall, these flashcards will be a great tool to use through out the school year. I was so happy to get these early learning flashcards! I have been using them with my 2 year old niece, and she LOVES our "school" time. I know they're geared for ages 3+, but they've been so fun to use with her. This is also helpful to use some of the alphabet cards in my classroom with some of my students that are struggling and still working on letter recognition and letter sounds. It's also so convenient that they come hole punched and include the binder rings to attach, so they're all in one place! These are great for my students who are 4 years old. I love how simple the cards are. I use them during our whole group time to go over the concepts. They are sturdy as well so I don't feel like they are going to rip. I like that they come with ring holders also. It makes it easy for me to keep them all together. The cards include colors, shapes, numbers, letters, and first words. We love the fact that the cards are already hole punched and book rings are included. This is helpful and a real time saver. Each set comes with games and notes for extra ideas on how to use the cards. These have been great to put in our pocket charts to review during our morning meeting time.
