A: yes if covered tightly the water doesn’t get inside the sandbox but it stains from fallen branch and leaves with rain which don’t come out easily. i am trying to look for a cover that’s darker in color.

A: Sad to say it isn't. Although the response from a Target employee says it is, after using it for a couple of months, I had to get a new cover shortly after buying it. I closed it really tight, but the water that sits on top of the cover somehow seeps into the sandbox (lots of water tbh).
