Book Synopsis

Kappa and Siren's adventurous journey into the vast ocean begins in the exciting third installment of the hit Webtoon series Castle Swimmer.

After leaving Siren to recover from his wounds in the shark castle, Kappa finds himself out in the big wide ocean once more. Minutes into his newfound freedom, another prophecy intervenes, pulling him towards a giant demigod crab scuttling along the ocean floor. As Kappa tries to figure out why he is drawn towards this crab, he comes across three magic-wielding octopi with a tragic past and uncovers more about his greater purpose as the Beacon.

When Siren finally leaves the shark castle a month later, Kappa is long gone. Alone in the greater ocean that he's only ever heard about, Siren quickly finds that he's unequipped to fend for himself. After having his supplies stolen by some thieves, he luckily finds himself in the company of a young fish and his mother and joins them on their travels. As they teach Siren to fight and tough it out in the wild, he begins searching for a cure to his curse.

This beautiful graphic novel collects episodes 42-65 of Webtoon's Castle Swimmer and includes a never-before-seen bonus chapter featuring Kappa and Siren.

About the Author

Wendy Martin was born in the Midwest and grew up in Iowa. She spent her childhood raising animals, but she spent even more time drawing them. As she grew older, she dedicated more time to the arts and creating fantasy comics and stories, particularly ones that involved characters who were half human and half animal. After graduating high school, she worked as a waitress and continued making comics on the side until Castle Swimmer, a story about two mermen, was picked up by Ten Speed Graphic and allowed her to draw comics full time. Castle Swimmer is her first series.
