Q: How does the shade attach? This slip Uno you refer to, is that the type of attachment that sits on the bulb itself? And can you purchase a different type of shade attachment for this lamp? One with screws and hold the shade off the bulb?

A: Hi tidally - We appreciate you shopping lighting décor at Target. The slip UNO design of this clear lamp base does require a shade that will sit directly on the socket. A harp or spider type shade fitter is not compatible with the lamp base. Thanks! - Philip

When I saw this lamp, my first thought was “terrarium”!! The lamp sat for a while (almost a year?) as I pondered what lamp shade to use. I finally settled on a shade at Target with stitched on brown thread that complimented the brown of the metal on the lamp. So following you tuber Serpa Designs, I made the false bottom, placed a screen mesh on top, added the soil and it is now a moss and lichen terrarium. I attached a light switch extension so that every morning, I press a button to turn the light on for the day and to give the terrarium light.

Filled the bottom of this lamp with sea shells. The lamp stopped working after 2 years of minimal use. Also too short to he anything hut an accent lamp. So cheaply made. Put a banker's lamp I've had for many years in its place. I would never trust Target again for a lamp or any store brand appliance. What has happened to my once favorite store? Profit over quality?

I put a few keys in the lamp. Left the room to look for other items to put in it. 10 mins later the jar shattered into 100s of pieces. Thank god no one was in the room when it happened.
