I give my 17-year-old cat three drops of this once or twice per day, mixed into a liquid treat. Before she started taking this, she would have a very loud yowling fit almost every night at about 4 AM. Now she almost never yowls. But if she goes two or more days without this product, the yowling starts again. My theory is that the yowling occurs when she wakes up disoriented and frightened in a dark, quiet house, but that the SAMe helps her to remember where she is and that she is not all alone just because it's quiet. It's not always easy to squeeze the drops out of the container, but it's the only liquid SAMe I've found, and the cellfood medium sounds a lot healthier than the fillers in a SAMe tablet.

I have found this supplement to be one of the best I have ever encountered - basically, because of its formulation which directly targets the cells, bypassing the GI tract. Although the dosage is 72mg, I talked to Jason at the Lumina Health Cellfood company who explained that because of the formulation it is equivalent to 400mg. I actually got more than 30 doses from the bottle so it is very affordable. I'm so happy I found this particular form of Sam-e.

I had never tried another brand of SAMe until now, but I love these drops. They work quickly and when I called the company to ask about the stomach acids...they said it never gets that far. It is absorbed BEFORE it even reaches the stomach... Which is why it works so quickly. The coated pills can not be broken or crushed! I have some horse sized pills now but will be going back to the drops!

I tired this liquid version of sam-e and did not notice the effects normally felt form the Enteric coated tablets I have used (several brands). Upon reading the label I see a dosage is 20 drops and that is only 72mg and 30 servings per bottle! I normally take 400 mg twice a day. I am also concerned that taking it in a liquid form will not be absorbed properly. There is a reason that all the other SAM-e sold is Enteric coated so as to not be destroyed by stomach acids. I have been UN-able to find any evidence that SAM-e is effective utilized this way.

I absolutely love the CellFood products. The SAM-e addition is simply a bonus. It is easy to use, very effective and a staple in my home.
