I have noticed more acne or eczema on my upper body that I decided to try Cetaphil. I will say it helps with helping the breakouts. It dries your skin so moisturize.

This is like rubbing lotion on your skin in the shower. I was excited to try based on price and amount you get while I search for a body wash to help treat my body acne. I have to use other products to wash just to feel clean. Do not recommend unless you are looking for a body wash that does not lather at all and maybe you have super dry sensitive skin and don’t care about that part.

I wish that this was clearly labeled to disclose that this is not a typical body wash. Even with adding water, it stays the consistency of a lotion and spreads over the skin, but doesn’t emulsify or lather. Ended up using it on my face instead.

Great acne wash for those who deal with back acne.

The scent is not strong at all, it is a neutral scent and almost non-fragrant. It is a creamy texture so great to use on a bath cloth or sponge instead of a bath scrubber. The packaging is great and the cost is worth it. With repeated use, the results shows slowly. Must use daily to see results. Great for those who deal with back acne or any acne on body.

When I first put this on my loofah I didn't smell anything, I started to try to lather it it didn't Sud up or anything. So I added more to my loofah, still no Suds. I said whatever and started washing my body and was hit with the most PUTRID smell of vomit and lye. I couldn't wash this stuff off fast enough. Even after using 2 other body washes I can still smell it. My entire room and bathroom now smells like this nasty concoction. DO NOT BUY THIS. What a waste of money.

Gentle, but doesn’t foam up

It’s a good product, but my only problem is that it doesn’t foam up like a normal body wash. It’s pretty cheap for a big bottle and it has a sort of clean medicinal scent. It has shea butter and is gentle, especially for someone who had eczema when they were little and has had no flair ups.

I was super put off by this at first! It is not what I (or anyone apparently) was expecting. There are quite a few issues with this, HOWEVER, I ended up using the entire bottle and I think I’m going to buy a second. The more I learn about skincare the more I’m open to different textures rather than the regular old sulfated lather that we all know and love lol. As stated by the other reviews, this is a cream. Not just any cream, She THICC. So much so that this pump bottle is worthless - it needs to be in a different container. Like a conditioner bottle that has the lid on the bottom. Now that it’s gone, I’m really missing the creamy experience lol. I decided I like that in my shower routine. Now onto the smell: it smells like a banana tree(not banana fruit, a banana tree). I know that’s specific, but IYKYK. It doesn’t bother me. Probably because it reminds me of the days I spent underneath banana trees. A few weeks After I stopped using this, my skin texture got rougher and much dryer. Overall I would recommend this. You just gotta know what you’re getting. Cetaphil if you’re listening please change the bottle and marketing & title it to a body cleansing balm or something.

I don’t believe there’s anything I can like about this body wash. It smells terrible, I had to spray perfume on myself after I dried off because I couldn’t stand the scent lingering on me (I always shower before bedtime, perfume is def not part of that routine lol) It’s also a lotion-like consistency, I do prefer body washes that foam up… I had to give up putting any more on my loofah before trying to use my hands. It feels like I’d be using extra product just to ensure it’ll clean my skin. Definitely returning it, this one just isn’t for me.

Smooths out skin nicely. It's an inexpensive and hydrating BHA, I'd say it's best for normal skin as the ingredients do include moisturizing ingredients and oils. Has a mild scent and no fragrance, scent is halfway between unscented soap and chemicals. I let it sit on my skin for a minute and it helps remove dead skin, improves my bumpy arms and legs, and ingrown hairs on my legs. It makes my skin soft. It is surprisingly gentle for 2% salicylic acid, which I attribute to it's hydrating ingredients and lack of harsh cleansers and fragrance. I have somewhat sensitive skin and this product works for me.

I purchased this without looking at the ingredients because I just assumed it would be a nice, basic body wash, especially from a brand like Cetaphil. First of all, I was very surprised that the texture is like lotion and it doesn't foam. You just like smear it on. Not a particularly pleasant experience in my opinion. Second of all, the second ingredient is shea butter, which is comedogenic and can clog your pores if you are acne prone, which I assume you are. I can see this product working for KP or other skin conditions, but this did nothing for my bacne. I used about half of it before I decided to just give up on it because my bacne was getting worse

The texture of this bodywash is thick and goopy. It doesnt dissolve well in water and it feels like you are smearing lotion around on your skin. I didn’t notice a huge improvement from using this. Scent was also off putting although I understand that added fragrance can irritate skin.

painful breakouts - 9 months ago, Verified purchaser
This stuff is awful. I’m a 35 year old woman with mild acne on chest and shoulders. Just enough to be irritating. I bought this thinking it would help clear them up. I broke out SO BADLY from this and it made my skin dry and become Very oily through the day leading to more breakouts and sore skin from the acne it CAUSED. I gave it a couple weeks thinking maybe it’s clearing out pores and it will start to go away but it just kept getting worse. I stopped using this and immediately they started going away.

more like a leave-on in-shower acne lotion treatment

This doesn’t really seem like an actual body wash to me. It seems more like a leave-on in-shower acne lotion treatment. I can’t really use this on my whole body or with a wash cloth, so I don’t feel clean after showering. I’d use this after using another body wash and let it sit. Definitely disappointed in the product. I wish they would have described the lotion-like texture and the lack of foaming on the packaging. You use a ton of product compared to normal body wash.
