Q: How do you remove the piece that sticks down from the bottom of the tray and prevents you from pushing the tray back toward the child because that piece hits the child's crotch?
Thanks
submitted by Pop pop - 1 year ago
A: Once it's been attached, the crotch bar is designed to stay attached to the tray; the crotch bar is not removable. Please refer to page 7 in the Polly Highchair (2021) manual for more information https://www.chiccousa.com/chicco-product-manuals/product-manuals.html.

Q: Does the seat cover come off to be washed?
submitted by Elaine - 2 years ago
A: The seat cover is removeable and features a soft, wipeable fabric that’s easy to clean
I love this Highchair! It is simple and clean looking and highly functional. I can easily fold it down and store it away. It sets up in like 30 seconds and I can do it one handed with baby on my hip. I have looked at many other seats and this one was the clear winner. Don’t hesitate just buy it.

Chair has a lot of nice features and the quality is good. However, the seat is so reclined! On top of that the tray comes up way too high for her to be able to eat comfortably. She’s a year old and still doesn’t fit in this thing. Definitely consider other brands so your child is more upright.

I’m not sure why this has such bad reviews but we absolutely love it! No issues like stated in the other reviews, the tray is a little taller than other high chairs but we have a 9 month old in the 5th percentile for length/height and he can use the tray just fine. Overall a great purchase! Can easily be moved, wipes off easily and the tray has a cover that comes off to make it even easier to wash!

This chair drives me insane. We’ve been using it for 8.5 months now. Even at its straightest, the seat is too reclined. Babies are supposed to make a 90 deg angle with their back and legs when sitting to eat. The straps are insanely loose and I have a 99 percentile weight and 100 percentile height 13 month old. It’s a pain to clean. The pad itself is removeable and easy to wipe down, but food gets underneath the pad. Underneath the pad, there are all sorts of ridges and indents that are so hard to keep clean. The straps don’t remove for cleaning. I have no issue with the tray staying on while in use, but I find it impossible to put the tray on the back for storage. I’ve been considering donating this and buying something else because I don’t think I have it in me to keep using this any longer.

You will think you have the tray clicked in properly but baby can lean to grab food and it will pop right out and falls to smash your feet and food goes everywhere. The tray is also too high so little one has to reach way up or I have to put a towel under her to prop her up higher. For the price and these issues I am trying to keep my cool and not throw this thing out the door today. Oh and the wheels to move it, ha!

I seat my 4 month old in this chair and she is small and I was able to adjust everything snug. The instructions are not just for recycling. The wheels disengage when folded for safety. This prevents the chair from falling when stored. IMO this chair is beautiful, functional, easy to clean and stores nicely. We love it. ❤️

We received this from our registry, so we are grateful for that. Pros: it’s easy to assemble 2) easy to clean 3) it’s height is convertible, the back rest is convertible also, and the feeding tray is stow and go! Cons: very poor build quality in that the entire chair is very shaky. It has far too much play at the connecting points between the chair and the upper legs, and the upper legs and the lower legs segments. Lastly, it’s supposed to be an easily mobile unit but the wheel design makes it almost impossible to move from one place to another comfortably. When closed the wheel section disengages the ground so it’s impossible to tilt it and roll it. You have to do that when it is in its open position which is super challenging and awkward even for a dad that is used to lifting heavy things. It’s just not a great mobile design. As a result I usually just end up picking it up and hauling it to where I need to put it instead of trying to roll it. I’d try and get a hands on with this unit before a purchase or putting on your registry.

I love that this is a light weight highchair that looks modern and isn't cheap looking! It's easy to clean, as well as fold it away for storage. It has wheels on the bottom that help also when moving the high chair around. It has a removable top clear tray that is easy to clean as well and doesn't stain. The cushion for the highchair is matte and has a nice smooth texture that is easy to clean with a lysol wipes. It even has a little foot step to prop your kiddos feet up as they grow. Another cool thing about this highchair is it has different levels of heights to raise it up. I'm so happy I choose this highchair, it was a great decision!

I’m in love with this high chair! It folds almost flat, the tray is removable with one hand, my baby can reach the tray just fine and the wheels don’t stick out to stub toes like on others. The material is wipe clean, and it includes a removable tray liner.

Great highchair. It's easy to use and keep clean. Looks very comfortable for the baby and it folds fairly compactly when it needs to be stashed out of the way.

I really do not like this highchair, it’s massive, heavy and super hard to clean!!! Also doesn’t have any adjustments with moving the seat up to the table ratio. I gave mine away and purchased a way simpler one, I loved the look of this one but it’s just horrible.

As other reviews stated, the tray is so high that my son has to reach up in order to get the food from the tray. He can’t see what’s in his bowl because it’s to high up. Also the tray constantly falls off the holder on the back and the wheels are only on the front so it’s nearly impossible to move the high chair, especially if there is a baby in it. I like that it is easy to wipe down but the cons of the high chair greatly outweigh the pro of wipe-ability.
1 reply from Chicco Brand Experts team - 9 months ago
Hi Gianni, thanks for the important feedback. The tray height is an issue in early stages of use, but as kids grow, you'll want the higher tray. There is no good reason for the tray to fall off the frame. There are latches on the tray underside that engage with each chair leg. Are you sure that you've pressed in the latches to engagement? Finally, we have heard additional reviewers call out the lack of four wheels and we hope to address that in future design updates.

Literally can’t stand this high chair. The tray falls off a lot it’s so hard to keep clean. When you stand it up right folded the tray won’t stay on and it doesn’t stand up good on it’s own. Total waste of money especially for the price

I hate this high chair with the first passion of a thousand suns. It collapses but every handle you’d use to pick it up to store it releases something. The tray is way to high. The straps are ridiculously long. The storage slot for the tray falls off all the time. It doesn’t roll very easily. This thing is garbage and I hate it sooooo much. It’s my biggest baby gear regret. Just get an upseat for your regular chair and save yourself the headache.

We got this highchair at our baby shower and have been using it the last three months with my daughter. At 6 months old she BARELY could see over the tray to eat, we had to use a folded blanket to get her boosted up enough to actually reach onto the tray. She’s now 9 months old and no longer needs the blanket, but her feet do not touch the foot rest and probably won’t for quite some time, even though she has long legs and is on the taller side. Aside from improper fit issues, the “wipeable” cover is such a pain to clean, the straps and crotch buckle get so incredibly dirty, and water gets trapped in the tray when I wash it and all I can think about is how moldy it’s probably getting! Who cares if this high chair is space saving (it’s really not, even folded it’s still massive), it smells from not being able to clean it thoroughly with so many cracks and crevices, the tray doesn’t stay locked on (my daughter can push it off and I’ve leaned on it with my elbow before and it popped right off even though it was “locked” in place!!!), and it doesn’t wheel around well. Unfortunately because it was a gift and used already Chicco said there is nothing they can do about it…
