Half a century after the events that took place in Chile during the period 1965-1973, history-loving readers can now know a version closer to the real truth. The author has undertaken an arduous task, 50 years later, tracking down information in the magazines and newspapers of the time, in order to place each personage in his or her place and circumstances, debunk myths and contribute to a more objective vision of the events that so marked the future of Chile and that continue to have such an influence today.

About the Author

Ulises Carabantes Ahumada, nacido en La Serena, Chile, en 1967. Ingeniero civil industrial y licenciado en ciencias de la ingeniería de la Universidad de La Serena, con un post título en evaluación de proyectos mineros de la Universidad de Chile. Profesor universitario. Especialista en seguridad portuaria de la Dirección General del Territorio Marítimo y Marina Mercante, Chile. Especialista en logística portuaria del Centro de Entrenamiento Portuario de Amberes, Bélgica. Con estudios en manejo integrado de cuencas en el Centro Medio Ambiental para América Latina, Montpellier, Francia. Hermano de la Costa. Escritor e investigador histórico por pasión. Autor de los libros Enlaces de Tiempos y Espacios, Desde los Valles Transversales a los Canales Australes, Remberto y su Mar y Fernando de Magallanes 500 Años. Dentro de Chile ha efectuado presentaciones de sus obras en distintas universidades y bibliotecas como también en ferias literarias. En 2016 presentó en la Feria del Libro de Granada, España, su obra Enlaces de Tiempos y Espacios, representando a las letras chilenas en tierras españolas.
