A: Hi there! The recycled material used in our Chinet Classic® molded fiber products comes from recycled paper. They are uncoated, compostable, and PFAS are not intentionally added during our manufacturing process.

I love the compostable Chinet paper plates. I had 11 people over for Thanksgiving and trying to have enough plates for everyone was challenging. The plates held up real well with all the food we had. I bought decorative paper plates that were a little smaller however does not hold up as the Chinet. I liked that they’re compostable as well, helping the environment.

they’re ruining my table, I have to keep wiping the counter and table. They’re leaking through, so I’m really disappointed, especially for the money I paid for a 24 pack. The others I had to throw away that’s not even the worst one .

Disappointed
I purchased these plates yesterday. The food leak through staining the table, staining our hands. The plate almost bent our food almost spilled everywhere.

Pasta salad soaked through plate to table
These are big, sturdy plates, but the pasta salad we ate on these leaked all the way through onto the table. Completely unacceptable. I hope they can fix this leaking/soaking issue.

Gross Stain on Plates
I bought these plates for a big Easter dinner. When I opened the package, the first few plates were fine, but the ones after that had some sort of nasty-looking stain on them. I had to toss the whole pack. Very disappointing!

Poor re-design
These used to be great plates. They were coated and didn't leak through. With this new material they are useless. Anything you put in them will leak through the bottom. DO NOT BUY! I bought 4 packages and are throwing out 3-1/2.

Disappointed
I have always bought the Chinet oval platters for my holiday meals for their size and sturdiness. However, this year, I was very disappointed. As we ate our Thanksgiving meal every plate leaked through and left wet/greasy stains on my tablecloth. Not sure why but we did notice that the new plate package reads compostable; not sure if that was there previously. Done with Chinet plates if this is the current quality.
