Andrew F. Walls (1928-2021) was a British historian of missions, best known for his pioneering studies of the history of the African church and a pioneer in the academic field of World Christianity. His primary work is collected in three volumes of essays. The first of these, The Missionary Movement in Christian History: Studies in the Transmission of Faith was judged by Christianity Today as one of the Top 100 Theological Works of the Twentieth Century.
