Q: is this made of hard anodized aluminum like other circulon pans or just regular aluminum?

A: Thanks for the question. A1 is full aluminum construction so you will still have the quick even heating you've come to expect from all of our other Circulon lines. A1 has the groundbreaking ScratchDefense nonstick surface that is much thicker and harder than traditional nonstick, which makes up for the hardness of hard anodized aluminum that other lines are made of.

I've had these 2 pans now for a few weeks -- replaced 2 old (~15+yr) Circulon pans that got daily use. They have become my new favorite pans when I don't need a cast Iron skillet. Easy to clean. I don't need to put them in the dishwasher. Highly recommended.

I do like this set quite a bit. They are very pretty and very heavy. One thing I have noticed is they take a little longer to heat up but that tells me the heat is distributing all along the bottom

The competition costs crazy amounts of money. Great if you've got that wealth, but I chose Calculon because it WASNT a flimsy, Teflon pan/pot. I try to avoid metal implements, but I don't sweat it if I do use em. Only used the pot once, but the pan! Nonstick for everything I tried so far. Cleans up in a breeze. Lighter than my cast iron. Let's see what a year does.

Very nice cookware set. This new set was a long time coming. Pots are not too heavy and love the poor spout on the sauce pan and the straining lid. I was very happy to see that the lid for the 6 quart stock pot is interchangeable with the 3 quart sauté pan. Hopefully will last a long time.
