Q: is this made of hard anodized aluminum like other circulon pans or just regular aluminum?

A: Thanks for the question. A1 is full aluminum construction so you will still have the quick even heating you've come to expect from all of our other Circulon lines. A1 has the groundbreaking ScratchDefense nonstick surface that is much thicker and harder than traditional nonstick, which makes up for the hardness of hard anodized aluminum that other lines are made of.

Straining lid and pouring spout.
I absolutely love the pouring spout on the pots with the straining lid! Wish it was on the 3 quart pot. Only had them a week but so far so good. Looks well constructed. Manual says not use on high heat which I understand because of the coating.

Durable non-stick frying pan
I've had the 30cm frying pan for several months and have been very pleased with it. As my old 25cm other-brand Teflon coated frying pan was nolonger reliably non-stick and was beginning to scratch, I decided to replace it with a ScratchDefence one. I also have a ScratchDefence wok with which I'm really pleased.

Cookware
Just recently purchased this cookware set. So far it is fabulous. Had old set of non stick cookware that was all scratched up. This seems to be much more durable. Looking forward to many years cooking with them . Stuff just slides around. Could not get it to stick if I wanted.

Scratch defense C1 non stick

Excellent non-stick cookware!
I was looking for a good non-stick pan that would last awhile after my T-Fals began peeling. So I did some research and decided to give Circulon A1 a try. I have had the 2 qt saucepan for several years now with heavy use and thus far it looks great, no chips or peeling and the non-stick properties are intact! I am so impressed that I now have an A1 3 qt saucepan and an A1 10" frying pan on order after my Ninja pan stopped being non-stick after 5 years. Great cookware!
