Q: Are these ear cleaners re-useable?

A: Product info below says twice it’s ok to reuse if clean them and then once at the very end says don’t reuse basically because the consumer is not competent enough to clean this device properly…then why do they say multiple times that it’s so affordable? Because I’ve never spent this much on cotton swabs maybe 1/2 the price and I get hundreds instead of 10. If they can’t get their mind made up if it’s ok to reuse them then I’ll pass personally. Not for heavy ear wax build up
At first glance this product seems like a good tool for earwax build up, and a safe alternative to Qtips. Please don’t be Tricked into thinking this will be a good alternative to serious ear wax build up. They explain on the back of the box that this product should not be used past the entrance to the ear canal as it can push earwax further in to the ear drum just like a Qtip. The design of the "finned end" dose not collect wax and may be good for scratching and removing dead skin but not wax. The "scoop end" could remove some wax but you can not remove anything past the entrance to the ear canal without pushing wax further in. This product may be fine for removing large debris and relieving itching. But do not rely on it for ear wax removal, like it claims to do.

These caused an ear infection
Be very careful with these. I was using them for a week and wound up getting a massive ear infection from the scratches this caused inside my ear becoming infected. I’m now in severe pain and on both antibiotic pills and antibiotic drops. Even if you don’t perforate your ear drum membrane you can still causes scratches inside your ear from the itching end of this tool like I did. My doctor said to never put anything in your ears. Even q tips can cause damage. She said if it’s an emergency and you have to itch a q tip would be safest but she didn’t even seem happy recommending that. Be careful if using these. I’m currently in a ton of pain. I wish I had been more careful.

Easier ear cleaning
They make it so easy to clean your ears and remove wax. I run them under hot water afterwards to remove the wax and you can wash them and reuse a few times before throwing away.

I can finally hear again
After two years of trying anything and everything I tried this stuff and it cleaned my ears out. My ears always felt clogged. This product really helped to scoop out wax and mineral oil that was stuck in my narrow ear canals. I can finally hear again and I’m so thankful for this product.

Great product
I have been using these since my son turned one year old and I have not stopped buying them since. At my son's one year old appointment, I learned that he had a lot of ear wax built up. The doctor kindly removed it there and suggested I purchase something like this to keep up with it at home. They are very easy to use and absolutely effective at cleaning. I like them a lot better than q tips because q tips will push more wax in than they take out but the scoop like design of this allows the wax to be removed easily. It's not painful to use at all, in fact my son enjoys it and asks me to clean out his ears often. I would definitely recommend using this over any other product.
