A: Hello Jp49, The nylon bristles are soft enough that they will not cause any damage to hardwood floors. The end of the nylon bristles are frayed so that they pick up fine dust as well. This fraying also makes them softer. Hope this helps.

My experince is NOT everyone else's
Horrible broom. Had it for only three months and the top part of the handle started coming off in my hand as I was sweeping. I used the broom to swat at a fly and it broke apart completely lol. I’ll never go with this brand again.

Dangerous defective cap
Wish I had read the reviews but you shouldn’t have to with such a simple household item. Top comes off every few minutes which can cause lacerations. Bristles are already fraying after basic indoor use. Pan is too wide for most room trash cans so you have to angle it to prevent debris from going all over. Far cheaper options have lasted much longer and are safer.
