Coast HL5 175 lm Black LED Head Lamp AAA Battery

This is a basic headlamp. Fits on or under a winter hat. Easy to change batteries. Bright. I bought this one because my kids had lost my HL1 collection at various summer camps. I recently had ankle surgery and am on crutches this light works very well for getting around the house at night without having to turn lights on and off in the house. I highly recommend this purchase to anyone that will get leg or hip surgeries.

I have several (at least five) of these and had to repair a couple of these over maybe 8 years. The Life Time Warranty is Awesome as I have had to replace a headband on one and had a switch failure on another. They sent me a whole new unit! How awesome is that. Not to mention I use it working on my vehicles or around the house, walking the dogs, camping, hiking and when flying at night as a backup incase of a power failure so I can still see the instruments and during power outages around the house.

The bad design is first the power button sticks out so much that it easily gets pushed in my tool bag/box and next time I use it the battery is dead. I actually glued a metal ring around the power button to fix the problem. Next the strap should go the other way around the battery box. This would make it much easier to change the batteries

We received two of these head lamps as a gift several years ago. We use them all the time. They're bright, easily adjustable to shine ahead or down in front of you. One of them developed a wiring harness problem and I was very happy to learn that Coast stands behind their products for life. They sent a replacement out and we're good to go. I have several other Coast flash lights, have given them as gifts and this experience has solidified my loyalty all the more.

Have had an HL3 for years, bought a second one and also an HL5. Chose both of them because of good battery life, fixed lens (gives longer beam), smaller & lighter front led enclosure.

A small light is very handy small but very bright comes in handy when I have to have both hands on my tools and item I’m working on

I had bought this head lamp 10 plus years ago for its brightnes and is one of my best to use as the product is very durable and there's not too many other products that offers a lifetime warranty with a no hassle warranty claim. This definitely makes it a GREAT product along with a variety of other products offered.

i've been using this lamp for over 15 years or so, approximately. it is hands down the BEST headlamp i've ever used. i've had at least 6 of them. given a few away as gifts. they're just outstanding there is no other way to put it. i am an industrial electronics maint. technician. there's just not other lamp that works this well. it's not just for use in the dark. i used it in the light as well. i use it daily. i rate it as a 10 on a scale from 1 - 10 and 10 being the top score.

This light is great for many reasons... First the bad. It does not last very long in terms of battery usage. Also, after about 18 months of periodic use, the wire connects seem to come loose due to the hinged light. The good, Super light weight, one button operation, comfortable, easy to change batteries, just bright enough to do anything you need in close proximity.

This thing is great! Bright & easy to use. Plus, if it breaks, they will replace it!! I had one that was 6-7yrs old. It broke & they sent a new one.

Switch stopped working on my original head lamp. Called customer service - replaced without hesitation!

Great little headlight. I have been using then for years. Now, I buy 3 at a time and give them to my family when they visit..MY wife has one, I have one in my office , bed room, garage. Then I have 2 larger ones 3 for lights for advance light distance and power outages. If your reading this, better order yousr to so you'll have yours when you need one. That might be tomorrow.
