Coast FL60 400 lm Black LED Head Lamp AAA Battery

Coast has really delivered great products and stand behind them with an outstanding replacement warranty. The FL60 is very bright. I have many headlamps but this one is my go to light when doing electrical work. They battery compartment broke and they quickly sent a new one out after filling the replacement form.

This light seems fine. It is a replacement to one that was just like it that had a bad switch. The light that had a bad switch had very very little use but still the switch went bad and I would assume the company knew that they installed a batch of bad switches in these lights. But they replaced the light outside of warranty without a receipt for free which is amazing. What a great warranty department standing up behind their product well. Because they did that I have purchased other products of theirs cents, so they are winning and so am I Other companies I have dealt with in the past that do not stand up for their product have lost out on my business for the rest of my life and I have posted bad reviews. The only thing I would do if I was, this company is make every single thing rechargeable and quit using single use batteries. I realize they cost a little bit more but incorporating this technology into every product is the future. USB-c. rechargeable devices are the foreseeable future. .

This was a replacement that was sent to me. Coast gets a 10/10 for customer service. I’ve been loyal to their product for many years. I make my living as a millwright. I require good quality, durable equipment. The issue I had was with the frame that secures the light to the headband. It broke. It’s not very substantial. It might be ok with a different type of plastic. Something stronger? The combination of thin construction and the type of plastic came up short. It’s not the best design that I’ve seen in their product line. I doubt they’ll change it because injection molding dies are very expensive. For the weekend warrior it’ll surpass your needs. For the trades I’d consider a different model.

Great light, very bright in high mode and the flood pattern lights up everything in front of you. The head van elasticity wears out quicker than expected. The IPX4 water proof rating should be reevaluated because prolonged sweat exposure seems to be a big problem.

This head light travels with me daily in my go-bag. It is light enough, compact enough, and certainly bright enough for all uses out to 25-30 yards, though I typically only use mine on medium and low brightness settings. Excellent light for around the house during power outtages or campsight.
