I ordered two of these ottomans within a month or so of each other. The first one was perfect. The second one had crooked seams, a puckered top, and there is a dip in the seat (maybe the material was pulled too tight?). I didn't notice these flaws until I took it out of the box. It would've been too cumbersome for me to return.

I bought the brown leather version. It is a nice ottoman, but a bit uncomfortable---it is very firm to sit on. The legs on the bottom are attached with washers and bolts; there are pads to stick on the bottoms of the legs. The lid has 4 "mini-legs" that keep the lid from sliding off the lower part of the ottoman.

I ordered two of the cream colored footstool and love it! Quality is great! Looks so nice in my beachy condo. I filled one with books and the other with games. Size is great. No assembly required other than putting the top on. Very comfy. I did scotchgard it to help protect the light color.
