I recently took the Coleman Skydome 6-Person Tent on a family camping trip, and honestly — it was such a solid choice. Setting it up was a breeze: the pre-attached poles made the process super fast, so we spent less time wrestling with gear and more time just enjoying the site. Inside, the nearly vertical walls give so much more headroom. It doesn’t feel cramped at all — even with three of us and our air mattress, there was still room to move around. The wide door makes getting in and out with bulky sleeping bags and gear really easy. Rain started falling during one evening, but I felt calm — the WeatherTec system (with the tub-style floor and welded corners) really holds up. I slept through without hearing water drip in or worrying about leaks.

The tent does not fit a queen size airbed. I will be attempting to return. Very disappointed

A good, reliable tent for a good price!!!
The size of this tent is just enough for two people and two small dogs with space for all our gear too. It doesn’t feel cramped or claustrophobic. The floor seems very sturdy to resist rain and moisture. It’s easy enough to set up and take down, and that is important for us. Overall, a good tent for the cost!!!

My affordable moto-camping tent
I have used this tent several times for moto-camping as well as car camping with my dog over a multi-day trip to Maine and back from Illinois. I love how easy it is to set up as well as how nice the ventilation is even with the rain cover on. Roomier up top than most 2-person tents and definitely kept me dry in rainy conditions. Even though I look at more expensive tents online for possible upgrades, I don't pull the trigger because I'm happy with what I got. Until I have a bad experience with it, I will keep using the Coleman Skydome as my primary small camping tent.

Arrived with holes
Came with a hole in the floor and a tear in the corner. Set up three days before a planned camping trip so didn’t have time to return. I do however like the simplicity of set up and take down. Perfect size for myself and my gear. Coleman gave me suggestion for tape to repair so will do that until I can find something new. Will be looking for something similar in a different brand.

Survived Tropical Storm Debby
This tent literally survived a tropical storm. It stayed dry inside and didn’t collapse. Stakes held and aren’t bent at all. I don’t recommend it since the tent would fold almost all the way over in some of the stronger gusts, but every time it sprang right back up good as new. I will say that I don’t find the built in poles any easier - if anything they’re slightly harder to manage than regular. But after staying dry and safe through a storm I have to give this tent a 5.

Great for the dog and me
I usually have an 8 person tent but I wanted to downsize for my solo trips with my dog. This fits a sleeping pad easy with half the space still available for my bags and my dog’s bed. It really does have more height as advertised which I found to be really nice. The tub like design of the bottom is great but makes the tent look a little awkward in the front like it’s not straightened out.

Not weatherproof
It's a good product for beginners. It is not very water resistant. Comfortable and easy to setup. Good value for the price but be careful in the rain.

a good tent for a quick get away. Except.......
I have a large tent for extended stays, but wanted a small one for short stays in primitive areas. this is an excellent tent except the door is too small! I am 6' 1'' and 63 years old and believe me, exiting and entering are rough. I can barely get through without crawling ; not fun when it's near freezing and the grass is covered with dew. It made me feel as if I were going through a portal in the space station. This is not to disparage the tent, it is an excellent product, but for someone younger and smaller than me.

Should Have Watched the Video
After struggling with putting the tent up, 50 minutes vs 5 minutes, it looks like a pretty good investment. Instructions are really non-existent other than the video on the web site which I should have watched first. It would have saved a lot of time. The rain fly isn't quick to attach so watch your weather reports.

Great Little Tent
Bought this tent earlier this year. Have been using it for the past few weeks and I’m fairly impressed. Sets up super simple once you know how. Has held up in rain, wind, and golf ball sized hail that dented my car hood, but left this little guy standing. Pack up is fairly fast, and once you get the hang of it, completely fits back in the bag. Took a point off bc there is only one window, so cross breeze isn’t an option. The dark colored rain flap makes it entirely too hot in during the day. And let’s be honest, only one adult is sleeping comfortably inside!

Very nice tent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tent is very nice and very easy to put up. I love that the instructions are sewn into the bag that it comes in. If you just follow the instructions, you can put this tent up in less than 10 minutes by yourself. Taking the tent down is easy too, however the instructions are a little more vague on how to roll the tent up to fit it back in it's carry bag, but once you figure it out, there is no problem. My children enjoyed how much room is in this tent as well. I was impressed with the head room and that there still seemed to be enough space to move around.

This tent folds up easily and comes down pretty quickly. I took a star off because I am pretty sure I'm not going to be able to get it up in five minutes. Ever. That might just be me though
