With the right light bulb it stands out because the light actually shines or reflects against the lamp base. Sturdy and not easily knocked out the table if you have a toddler around. The lamp shade is the one thing I wish to change. Seems a little to flimsy with the material it's made of. The structure of the shade is very strong.

I am surprised and very pleased with the amount of light that this lamp provides, I wasn't expecting that much from a lamp with a black shade and 60 watt bulb. It is the perfect size for the table I wanted it for and goes very well with everything in the room. I am pleased with this product and would recommend.
