They grow up to 22 inches are white, with yellow on the underwing and black feet and beak. They are distinguished by a noisy call. Sulphur-crested cockatoos live up to 70 years in captivity and 20 to 40 years in the wild. They coat themselves in a white powder to waterproof themselves, rather than oil.
