Absolutely worthless. I bought several of these hooks to hang a few Christmas decorations around my house of various size, however significantly lower weight that what the hook is rated. Every one of my decorations fell off the wall within a week. These absolutely will not stick to my walls which are textured and painted. Worst case I had a 1.2 lb sign on a 4lb hook and it fell off the wall. It damaged both my decoration which has a section of wood broken off, as well as my baseboard trim which has a large chunk missing out of it as well. Do not buy these if you care about your stuff! Deserves zero stars

These are in no way HOOKS. NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING will hold ANYTHING on these so called hooks. You can use any shape, any material. and they hold NOTHING,.

I previously bought several hooks and they have been working well. Today I purchased 3 large utility hooks (white) to hang 3 empty purses. I prepped the wall as directed but when I peeled off the red liner, there was NO feeling of stickiness. None, absolutely none. Just to see, I lifted a small corner of the black liner - not sticky at all.

I bought six of these and I now have three left. I use them to hang towels in the bathroom. They hold the weight perfectly but keep breaking.

I purchased several large hooks for Christmas decorating. One was placed on the inside of our front door and held up very well last year (I actually forgot about it until Easter time!) displaying one of my favorite decorations. Unfortunately, this year when I applied the same hook with replacement "tape", it fell after a week, so I re-applied the tape and the second time it only made it two days. Why????

However, we do offer a adhesive that can be used outdoors and will protect against humidity, moisture, direct sunlight and -20 degrees up to 125 degrees. I have to say that I really love command products and these large utility hooks are no exception. I purchased several to put in all my closets in our apartment that doesn’t have much storage. I love them and not one has fallen down - I found that if you follow the directions closely you will be ok.

I used these in my classroom and the VERY light backpacks (no books only a lunch, a water bottle and a folder) kept breaking the hooks. The most frustrating part is the strip and bracket are fine but the hooks broke. Sadly, the hook can not be replaced. Please fix this so replacement hooks are available. Our planet doesn't need excess waste.

While advertised to remove cleanly and damage free, in tiny print on back of package it says 3M will not be responsible for any damage arising from this product whether direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential. My beautiful dining room now looks terrible. I used the hook to hold a 1 lb wreath over the holidays. I pulled the rubber thing out, but this still happened. I'm guessing the top part of the tape must have become permanently glued to the wall. All instructions were followed.

Very upset to find (multiple) strips pulled off professionally painted woodwork, damaged trees and many broken heirloom ornaments. Weight was under what was required and several strips were applied properly. DO NOT count on the CLAIMS for this product if you have care about your interior space. We now need to have woodwork sanded down and re-sprayed. Extremely disappointing to deal with when we used these as in extra "safety blanket". FAILED! 100% RUINED WOODWORK

Ripped paint off wall

I let it sit overnight without anything hanging on it. The next day I hung a skateboard deck, which is well under 5 lbs. Two nights later, it fell down and took some paint with it. I used to use these all the time, now it seems like they just don't work anymore. I also recently used some of the tiny ones to hang fairy lights in my daughter's room, and half of those fell off, too.

I started using this size Command hook several years ago to hold my purse off the ground at work. I don't know why it took me so long, but since then I have found it useful at home for not only purses, but also for the many Christmas garlands I hang around my home. No more big nail holes in the walls to repair after the holidays, yay!

I purchased several of the 5lb command hooks to hang Christmas wreaths on 12 front windows. These did not disappoint! The held the wreaths through snow, rain, sleet, hail during the months of November-January. When it came time to take them down the sticky part of the hook removed easily as promised. How do they do this and still offer holding capacity of 5-8lbs?? These are pricey, but, I found a decent deal on a multi pack. So pleased with this product!
