The book explores key questions about the empowerment and capacity-building of minority ethnic groups. Using case studies from across the 'developed' world, and in differing social and economic contexts, contributors explore these issues in working with asylum-seeker communities, addressing tensions between minorities and building alliances, in work with Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities, and using arts-based approaches.

About the Author
Gary Craig has had a lifetime interest in community development as activist, researcher, teacher and in driving policy and practice in a social justice context. He has written widely on the subject, in books, articles and in magazines, was Editor of the Community Development Journal for many years and President of the International Association for Community Development. This book brings together that interest with his concern about the growth of racism worldwide.
