[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This seemed like a great idea however the packaging doesn’t come with all the needed parts and pieces. If you want to attach it to poles you need to buy them separately. The instructions also showed multiple pieces you could use to attached it such as a S hook but it was also not included. The material was a little rough and looked almost like straw. I guess it’s supposed to be water proof but just didn’t look flattering. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Our standard Coolhaven Shade Sail products do often require separately purchased hardware to mount them, especially if you're using poles instead of existing structures. According to our specifications, the sail itself includes stainless steel corner “delta” or D‑rings, but the mounting hardware (e.g., turnbuckles, snap hooks, pad eyes) typically isn’t included unless ordered as part of a dedicated hardware kit. Accessories, including installation hardware, are sold separately. I completely understand how this can feel misleading if the documentation suggests multiple attachment options like S‑hooks without clarifying they're extras. Our shade sails are made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with mono‑yarn knitting technology, designed to block up to 95% of UV rays while remaining breathable and weather-resistant. Although this ensures functionality and longevity, the fabric can appear textured or rustic—sometimes described as “straw-like.” I’m sorry that the look didn’t match your aesthetic expectations. It holds up like a champ in the wind and looks way more expensive than it is. The fabric breathes, so it cools the space without making it feel like a hot tent. Definitely recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Coolaroo Coohaven Shade is a very well made product. It was fairly easy to put up on my patio but it is somewhat heavy which is a good thing. It definitely blocks a lot of sun that comes in from the side of my patio. I also took it camping and it worked well between the trees over my tent so it’s also versatile. I did notice a very strong chemical smell initially but it does dissipate over time. I do recommend this product.

It’s perforated so when it rains the water won’t get stuck on top and damage it (this has happened multiple time to tarps my ex kept putting up). Installation was a little tricky, but that’s only because of how my house is setup. I had to install on concrete and wood, so it was a little rough, but we got there I live in California. So a sunshade is a MUST during summer and you won’t be disappointed with this!!!!

I have an outdoor table which is up against my kitchen bay window so an umbrella wouldn't fit in that space. This sail shade is perfect. It's triangular and I anchored two corners to the soffit along the house and tye third to the metal cage of the lanai. This came with high quality mounting hardware, and it feels like it will last a long time. Fantastic!

I will tell you in Florida that you have to be more thorough in the installation because of our windy weather. The durability comes with time and how it can withstand mother nature. And blocks out alot of the sun and keeps that area of my yard nice and shaded which is amazing in this AZ heat. It feels quite durable and not easily ripped bit it also hasn't gone through it's first monsoon yet and I can only hope this stays in place. I do love added shade in the backyard and now I realize I need more of these, I do have a dog and kids who go out at the most random times and the sail actually keeps the turf from being super hot it really does block out alot of heat and and UV. I reccomend for a nice shaded area in your backyard attached to the patio and or wall. Next I will be adding LED solar lights to it to make it look pretty. I'll be buying another from this company and adding it to the other wide of my yard.

It has nice metal attach points and came with nice mounting brackets and turnbuckles. My install was a bit more challenging due to side of the location, but it will works great!

This is my family’s second sun shade. We’ve had the last one for years! They hold up surprisingly well. It’s very hot where we live so any extra shade is a real treat. My only complaint is that the kit did not come with all the hardware required for installation. I have to purchase more hardware before I can set the shade up. It’s a great product but be aware you may have to buy more hardware!

It’s triangular in shape and does require some installation. All hardware that you need to hang comes with the shade sail. Initially I was going to use this sail to shade my garden but I will use for my backyard lawn area as we live in super sunny California where temps reach well over 100. It’s big, provides great shade, and is quality. Highly recommend this shade sail and kit!

Aside from its unintentional use, it seems like a very well-made shade. I feel the material will hold up to different seasons (maybe not so much wind storms). The hardware that came with it is quite substantial and makes me feel confident in its ability to create a secure install. We are very much ready to enjoy this over the summer on our new patio.
