Mine came in fine and was all in alligment just fine (since another review said their's was not). I really like it other than the top being SO HARD. I was hoping for a little more softer cushion on top. It is great storage and large.

This is a great looking ottoman. The linen looks great. The hydraulics and storage are great. It was even the perfect size, but the lid isn’t square to the base. The lid was mounted at an angle or something, but even if you try to push the lid and correct the weird overhang on one side, the base was still one inch longer on one corner than on the opposite corner. It’s just really poor construction technique. Hopefully, this was a one time issue and not every ottoman is made this poorly.
