A: We have had cantilevered umbrellas for years, and have two 2'x2' concrete pavers that we use on the far side of the base from the umbrella. Of course, we also put it down in a high wind.

Poor quality
Horrible quality. While the umbrella function has worked fine, and despite using as instructed, the metal at the base was bent within the first day of use simply from the weight of the umbrella. It is poor quality and now permanently bent. I would like my money back

Make sure to open until you hear clicking
Really nice. Color is very bright. I am a little concerned with how the plastic pieces will hold up, but only time will tell. You also need to Purchase the weights, unless you plan on bolting it down. The first time you open it up, you have to turn the handle and open it until it starts clicking! We thought ours was defective because it wouldn't stay open. It never made any clicking noises as it was opening or anything. We closed and opened it a few more times, but gave it an extra hard push the last time and heard clicking. We thought we broke it. But it stayed open. We closed it and opened it again, and it started making clicking noises as it was opening. This umbrella was very easy to put together and even came with a little wrench, so we didn't need any tools. I'm very happy with it so far.

Easy to assemble umbrella! We have a small table that can seat 6 people in the patio and this does gives us the shade we need!
