Cute, but very small and moderately difficult to assemble.
This is a nice-looking electric fireplace, but it is SMALL. We purchased it for our 7-year-old granddaughter\'s room because we needed something to put her TV on. This was nicer than a TV stand because it is cute and went with her room decor very well and its better than a TV stand since it is also a heater. Just know that if you are going to put a TV on top of it that the TV has to be rather small to fit. It took me a couple of hours to put the whole thing together because there are many pieces, and the instructions are not very good. All of the pieces did fit together well though.

Don't get me started on the old fireplace. It was broken and I almost burnt my house down cause I didn't fix it and had a big and I mean big fire. So after I put it out I got this and now it's good and safe

After 1hr and 15min. The fireplace doesn't fit with the cabinet. The fireplace unit is too small. So mad So disappointed. Now I have to take this heavy fireplace back to Target. Not Happy :(

My cats and I love it
This took hours to assemble - there were so many pieces with nothing pre-assembled. But the instructions were clear and it came together well. (I'm a 54-year-old woman and did it myself.) It's perfect for my bedroom and my cats are obsessed. The flame and heater are really nice. I like the cute extra shelving, too. Neither shelf gets hot at all, so safe for plants and decor.

Easy to follow assembly instructions. We had it together and running in less than two hours. It throws nice heat to assist our existing source in our 20' x 14' living room. We ALSO enjoy the ambiance of the flame without the dust and mess of our previous wood burning stove. We plan to order another for our bedroom... needing a little extra coziness for the long Vermont winter ahead!!

No heat level settings or thermostat
This unit puts out a decent amount of heat, and the flames look fairly realistic, although the logs do not. The main issue is there's no way to adjust the heat -- there are no settings to raise or lower the output, and there's also no thermostat. So there's really no temperature control, either it's on full blast or it's off. Haven't been through a winter with it yet, though, so we'll see how that goes. For now, I can't really recommend it.
