Best float tube on the market.

Last one lasted 17 years. I purchased the one with foam seat so I can stuff bottom of my bass rods under it to hold them up. No one in the south knows what these are but I can get around with ease in any lake in Texas that doesn't have gators. Stealthy approach and much cheaper than a 100k bass boat

Outcast is always outstanding!

I purchased this model upon a recommendation from my fly fishing friend who has the next better model. I must say it's a great float tube and agreeable better than my friend's model. Lots of options and configurability and is drum-tight when pumped up. I'm 5' 10" and weight 180 lbs and this tube is super comfortable and floats me perfectly. I really like the foam seat instead of the air filled seat just in case something went wrong with an air type seat. This is a outstanding value for the money spent and I'm sure it will last for years to come.

Can't wait to get this on the water.

The water is still a little cold where I'm at and I need to get a portable pump and paddle. The quality of the materials is good and there are no leaks like the other tubes I have tried in the past. As long as I don't end up snagging it on a sharp rock, branch or puncturing it with a hook it should last years. I mostly plan on using this in the lakes in the Sierras in eastern central California which will probably still be snowed over until mid June. I'm not sure if this type of float would work well for fishing in fast flowing water. Maybe for just tubing in a steady slow stream with a beer or 2 or 3 in hand or in still water. There isn't a whole lot of cargo space if you plan on fishing with this. Pretty much just what you can carry on your body or in a small pack. Rods will have to be carried in hand or across your lap so keep that in mind and pack light. If you're just tubing down stream you can probably strap a small cooler bag to it and be fine to enjoy a few cold beverages of choice.

Very heavy duty, useful floating tube.

This item looks like a floating tube for lazy river drifting, but has much of the functionality of a small fishing boat. You are able to sit up fairly straight in this boat, and it can accommodate one or two oars to help steer as well as a tackle box and maybe even a few snacks. It is comfortable to sit in and easy to transport, either inflated or completely flat. This floater is sturdier than most children's pool floaters. It can handle being poked by sticks and dragged by rocks on the water, and maintains its full inflation for a long period of time. I have used it on a very large lake near my house and although I only stayed near the shoreline, it took me around the entire lake and I actually caught a few small bass! Overall this product is easy to use, is more than roomy enough for one adult but also compresses very small to be stored virtually anywhere. It is a lot of fun and a unique way to do some casual fishing or just floating. Since I don't own a boat this is definitely my favorite water implement and I will be taking it out every time to the lake!

Works great. It's hard to find the circular float tubes, but I much prefer them on the river.

Great for a teenager

My 17 year old loves this thing. Works great. Easy to get around. Just be sure to grab a car air pump to blow up by the water. Has one rod holder, bought another one.

Bomb proof

I have had my Float Tube for 6 years now. From early spring until late fall it sits out hanging from my porch rail. This is the most affordable flow tube you will ever find. It has brought me many years of fishing and floating enjoyment.

Pretty Good

I purchased this tube for fly fishing in Mammoth, and overall, it performed really well. The puncture-resistant fabric is a great feature, and it worked perfectly for my youngest child, providing a stable and enjoyable experience. However, my older kids had a bit more difficulty using it, as it seems better suited for smaller individuals. While it's a solid choice for those on the smaller side, it may not be as comfortable or functional for larger users.

Seriously Impressive for the price

As the owner of 3 other float tubes (for myself and two boys) all of which were purchased with my own hunting and money (despite my Vine Voice label) this one exceeds all that I currently own in quality, features, and overall usability. I'm reviewing this in February 2025, before I have a chance to get this on the water, but am confident this is my go-to and favorite tube. The 3-ply laminate construction with a polyester core (per the manufacturer) is obviously durable - more so than it's price would suggest. It really is awesomely tough feeling and looking. Unlike many competing tubes, this one has valves and construction offering high-pressure inflation which just lends to the commercial grade look and feel. Thanks to the included (also higher than typical quality) hand pump, both inflation and deflation is easy. The floor of the sitting area is also tough and inflatable. Quickly turns into a backpack with a hip belt - should you need to move a distance with it fully inflated and ready to go, as can be seen in one my pictures with one of my older boys. Another "enhancement" that's a touch different than other tubes in this price class is the removable skeg (fin) that can, according to the manufacturer, enhance control and maneuverability (I'll see if that's the case - but I don't personally plan to use this in rivers for now). The key items I like and think this sets it apart from others... again for the price... is the quality of all the key fittings and components. I love the included oars and excellent quality oar locks, pump, rugged safety line and grommets, storage bags are actually really nice, the heavy duty apron in front I'll actually use and even could eat lunch on while on the water, and rod holders are great (and removable like most of the add-on components to the core of the tube). I'm not crazy about the seat... for the durability and quality of everything else, I'd have liked to have seen a rigid or rigid framed seat back - the seat should be fine, but honestly is a small point of annoyance for me personally, and an area that INTEX probably chose to keep the price lower. I can't fault that, and just hope that particular items lasts, even though it's made of the same tough material. I just consider it an overall odd choice given I have solid oars with oar locks, rod holders, a skeg, and an rugged apron... but an inflatable seat and seat back. As a larger guy, I worry about the comfort of the seat back over the course of a full day on the water preferring something more solid behind my back as I use the oars or flippers to move around. For now, not worth docking a star... should I change my mind later, I'll update this review. All in all, seriously a nice tube and tough - excellent for the price/performance ratio. I think you'd have a hard time finding better.

My first "belly-boat," and it's awesome. I cannot wait to us

UPDATE 05/05/25: Last week I took my float out for a full day of use. I'm quite pleased with how this float worked-out. I experienced a few things I'm not crazy about, but nothing worth taking away a star or two. What I didn't care for: 1. The fishing rod holders are to vertical, and do not allow for the thicker grip of a bait-casting rod. Only spin-rods need apply. I didn't like these at all. 2. The skeg fin was a pain to remove without unloading the float. I don't think it adds all that much control to the float, so I will run without it next time I use it. 3. Rowing the float will require getting used to as you do not have the long-strokes to propel yourself. 4. I used the float for over six hours, non-stop. The inflatable seat was okay, but can certainly be improved. I found the cross-bar, under the seat, become uncomfortable after a few hours. 5. But I did catch a nice channel catfish! This is my first fishing float-tube (belly-boat). I'm really excited about it, but I've yet to take it out on the water. Unfortunately, it is still winter (it snowed again today), and I am also still purchasing equipment to get back into fishing after a 30 year absence. So, I hope that I can provide you with some good information about this item despite my lack of experience with it - or one like it. The set arrives well-packaged. Everything you need is included in the kit: float tube. spreader bars, seat, oars (2), storage boxes (2), pump, pressure gauge, keel fin, carrying straps, backpack (storage) with full straps, repair kit, and instructions. I mean it, you get almost everything you need to get started. Everything appears to be made of quality materials and manufacture. So, with my dear spouse's permission, I followed the instructions for assembly in the living room. The instructions for assembly are pretty clear and well illustrated with photos in the manual. I only had a some difficulty with a couple of items as the processes were not made clear in the instructions. This came-up during inflation, and then storage. I had to go online to learn how to properly set the inflation valves in the float (both for inflation and deflation). Same thing with deflating and storing the tube. That last is only touched upon in the manual and there is nothing on the Intex web site to help. I had to use another company's video to learn what to do. The manual could be improved with better information. But that doesn't detract from the product itself. I got the craft together in a reasonable amount of time. It was much larger than I expected it to be. I sat in it and found it to be quite comfy too (my wife saw me sitting in my "little boat" and laughed at me). I flipped it over and attached the straps for hoisting it on your back for carrying. It weighs a little over 30 pounds, but felt easily portable for short distances. After all this I took at apart to repack it for storage, until I can take it out. That was a little more involved than I would have liked (again, another trip to Google and You Tube for help), but I got everything packed into the storage pack. I'm looking forward to trying this thing out. It looks and feels secure, and I think it will help me get a few fish in the not-so-distant future. I hope this review is helpful. I will add to it once I take it out and get some real-world experience with it.

Float tube

It is perfect for my use. The rod holder is very hard to keep straight. Ended up taking it off. This is a good value for the money. Flippers are hard to get used to. Need the paddle to turn the tube

Performs the intended use

Easy to assemble and inflate. Design is functional and features are handy, such as the large top pockets, the Velcro tabs to hold extra rod, the additional strap-on rod holder that came with the one I bought, the additional gromets to clip ancillary items to, etc. The downsides: The seat angle has you constantly sliding forward. Luckily, there's a vertical strap that keeps you from sliding completely out of the seat, but the sliding and readjusting is a serious pain. As I saw mentioned in another review, the PVC used for the cross bar stabilizer is very thin. Has not been a problem for me yet, but not a question of "if". The fins that come with it are useless. I didn't use them, as I have a pare of solid fins, but don't count on using the ones that come with this float for long. Bottom line is, for the money (and this is the third one of three types I've owned), this is not a bad spend. Maybe I'm a little heavy for the seat (?), I'm 6'6" and weight about 240, so I'm used to this kind of thing. Max weight for this is listed at 275lb. It does track and maneuver well. Just not something to get "too excited" about, but a decent value for what it cost.

Pvc needs to be a one piece...

Just bought this, tried it for the first time and it was better than i expected, it was definitely roomy, and comfy! The only issue i noticed off the bat was that the PVC pipe kept undoing itself and was a little annoying. The net thing that sits over the lap serves as a table a flimsy one, which was good to have. For its price, it is freakin awesome! So much storage... Im getting one for my 8 year old soon....

Nice float tube.

I haven't tried this on a lake yet but it was relatively easy to set up and I like the look of it. I think it will be durable and work well. I don't understand why they made the seat bottom, seat back, and side pockets (that you will rest your forearms on) out of black nylon material which will inevitably get very hot if left in the sun for a while. I think that this is a design flaw. I had to buy a special, expensive, light colored, flexible, spray paint for vinyl and fabric to make them light colored and not get too hot in the sun. After this fix I think it will be a perfect float tube. The side pockets are big and will fit a lot of stuff and the shelf behind the seat back will fit extra gear there too. Maybe I'll update this review after I get it out and use it on a lake.

Really solid, make sure you put it together before your fish

I haven't taken this on the water yet, but was able to do a dry-run of set up this wekeend in my garage. The instructions were not terribly detailed but it wasn't hard to figure out where to put the bladders and where to attach the accessories. It took me about 25 minutes to get everything set up but would be much faster the second time. I highly recommend doing a dry run of setup before taking this on the water. I was impressed with the quality of the outer materials, the fabric is thick and feels strong. The bladders seem like they are thicker than an older float tube I have. They inflated without issue and held their air after inflating. The pump that came with the set worked great, I would not recommend using an electric pump on this. The coloring looks like a high end float tube, I am pleased with the look of everything. There are LARGE side pockets that will be very nice, each side of the float tube have zipper pockets that are the size of a small/medium tackle box. I was very happy with the rod holder, I've used float tubes in the past without them and having somewhere to put your rod is so helpful when you're paddling. I didn't try on the flippers but they seem fine, I don't think they would be neccessary with the oar but it will be nice to have both. I'm really pleased with everything I got for the price I paid, great value compared to what I would pay at a store.

Sure beats fishing on shore.

No need to wade out in the water and cast than walk back to shore all wet. Now I fish all around the lake. Just before dark I drop my line down way out in the middle of the lake further off shore than I could ever cast! Next I let my line spool out tell I'm back on shore and I set in my lawn chair and fish two poles at night and my baits way out in deep water ten times further out than I could ever cast! This inflatable is a snap to assemble and very sturdy and easy to maneuver. A.K.A Fishinrod
