No more
I've used this brand multiple times over the years, but this last bag will be my final bag. Actually I might just throw it into the burn pile. It's full of rocks, sparks and cracks like crazy to the extent that an ember jumped up and burned my arm. The stuff is trash!

Only one I use
I have used this for a few years. Actually won competitions with it. Lights easy burns good and hot for a decent amount of time. Adds great flavor. I've tried lots of different coal before finally finding cowboy. Can't be beat.

I will not recommend this product to anyone
I bought an 18 lb bag from Publix. It's full of small wood chip size pieces of charcoal. I even have a rock in there! It's super low quality and unusable on a Weber.

Puts bricks and rocks in bag. Committing fraud.
Second time buying product. They commit fraud by putting bricks and rocks to scam people.

The only lump I buy!!
I have used Cowboy lump charcoal for several years. Couple of years ago I bought couple of bags & the small pieces at the bottom of the bag were so much I complained. You gonna get some of that anyway. They sent me another bag!! And apologized. Now the pieces are a little larger than needed, but you still have good size at the end of bag. This brand is great and I would never switch. Kirk Byrn

I doubt it anymore
I've used this product numerous times for my kamado. I've had rocks, stuff that looks like concrete when burned down and now a bag that absolutely stinks of pine. I'm getting pretty disappointed and will be switching brands

Nope
I bought your brand before anyone knew natural coal. I reached people, educated them the difference between natural and "Kingsford." Now this, cubed crap. Taste it puts out is of any other brand. I was wondering why I could buy 2 bags for what I paid for one at one time. Then I saw the ",cube" . Well.... You did what you had to do, but this is where we part ways.

rocks in bag
I bought a bag of Cowboy lump charcoal, poured the whole bag into my grill / smoker, after I was done, I was cleaning the ashes out of it, and found 5 rocks, yes rocks. I don't understand why they were there other than to add more weight in the bag. Needless to say I more than likely not be purchasing this brand again

Kick rocks
Found 14 rocks (all small) after I finished my first bag of cowboy lump. My question is, did I have to pay extra for those, or was it like crackerjack and those are considered my toy surprise. Plus 12 hours into my porkbutt cook, it went cold, never happened to me before. (XL egg, 3/4 full of lump.)"

Great product but contains rocks
This is the first time I used Cowboy Lump Charcoal, I does burn good, but I think the secret to a long burn is the rocks that were blended in. I have used the same bag of charcoal twice and both times cleaning out my grill, I found a rock within the ashes. I have never seen this before with other brands.

Would purchase again
The only thing I didn't like about the this one particular bag of charcoal was that it had metal in it, not like royal oak charcoal it's full of rocks all the time.

Rocks, rocks and more rocks
Can't understand why I end up with gravel in my smoker after using your lump charcoal. Last time I checked, rocks don't come from trees.

What happened?
Guys are you kidding me??? I have used this product for the last 5 years and it's been great. The last 3 bags I have bought have been terrible. Super light, crumbles just touching it . In 2 hours time I had to start 3 new batches of charcoal. What is going on.

Never again
We purchased the 20 lb bag from Lowes and never again. Out of the entire bag, there were maybe 2-3 'lump' size pieces and the rest was chips and pieces about half the size of normal briquettes…where's the 'lump's? This was the second bag we've purchased like this so it's not just bad luck. It's more expensive than our usual brand so at least we'll be saving money in the future.
