Q: do these work in temperatures above 14f? that seems ridiculously cold to be playing outside
submitted by Japnne - 2 years ago
A: You can use the bubbles at any temperature. Crazy Ice Bubbles are made to last long to withstand cold tempratures so they do not pop easily To freeze fast it needs to be around 14F.
submitted byMike - 2 years agoA: We tried at 22 degrees F and they would not freeze, we tried again at 17 degrees F and they did freeze after a while. The frozen bubbles did not last very long & left a residue after popping.
submitted byMaggie - 8 months agoA: They take more time to freeze after landing if it's not as cold but it seems like 25f is the warmest they work for us.

Cool bubbles, it has not gotten cold enough to freeze them yet, but kids enjoy them anyway!

I didn't realize it had to be below 19 degrees F to freeze, I should have read the reviews first. We finally got a cold enough day and it was just a messy disaster, the liquid is thick and left a plasticky, glue-like residue on our gloves and anything else it touched - does not wash off. My daughter's Uggs are ruined because some dripped from the wand onto her boots, spots were left on the deck where the bubble popped. At that temp (but not above) the bubbles did freeze after landing about a minute later, most flew away, they popped after a few minutes and that was that. The concepts seemed different and exciting, but it was a flop for us.
Waste of money

Such a waste! I didn’t realize it needed to be under a certain temp to work, fine whatever, it was getting super cold in VA. Waited til it was 21 degrees outside and nothing happened. They just popped. The solution is thicker so it makes a lot of bubbles when blown, but not worth it. BUT if you accidentally leave the bottle outside then you will see the whole mixture freeze if you want some frozen action.
Doesn't really work, takes forever to finally start freezing, impractical

So these things basically don't work. We took them out when it was 17 degrees, then at another time when it was 14 degrees out. Blowing the bubbles in the air, watching them until they landed, or trying to hold one on the wand for a minute or 2, they didn't even begin to freeze. We finally had some land on a car, and after sitting there a couple minutes they slowly began to freeze. Just not that exciting, not super practical because most of the bubbles you blow won't even last long enough to start to freeze before they pop. Wouldn't recommend.
Not worth it

Didn’t freeze at 10 degrees. Sticky thick liquid that dries into a white glue-like substance on your hands. Definitely a waste of $5.
Gives you a reason to be outside!

These are so much fun for a chilly day! We had a 9* day coming which is rare in Washington. I saw these and figured these would be an awesome activity for that day. They are an extra sticky formula which gives them time to freeze without popping. They worked for us best in the grass and on the trees. We actually went and bought 2 more bottles because they were such a fun activity.
They don't freeze!

These blow very big bubbles but they are very sticky. We were blowing bubble in kitchen/dining area and they were sticking to floor unlike regular soapy bubble which just dry. If you use outside, they wound be 5 stars!
Not what I was hoping for

Super thick bubbles that didn’t “freeze” in 10 degree weather. Really just left a thick white residue on everything they landed on. Wouldn’t recommend
Dissapointing

Bubble solution is very thick and did not freeze in 12 degree weather. They popped on my children’s hands and because the solution is so thick it was extremely messy and sticky. I would not recommend.
