Description
The story follows New Yorker Rachel Chu (Constance Wu) as she accompanies her longtime boyfriend, Nick Young (Henry Golding), to his best friend's wedding in Singapore. Excited about visiting Asia for the first time but nervous about meeting Nick's family, Rachel is unprepared to learn that Nick has neglected to mention a few key details about his life. Not only is he the scion of one of the country's wealthiest families, but also one of its most sought-after bachelors. Being on Nick's arm puts a target on Rachel's back, with jealous socialites and, worse, Nick's own disapproving mother (Michelle Yeoh) taking aim.
It soon becomes clear that the only thing crazier than love is family, in this funny and romantic story sure to ring true for audiences everywhere.

This movie was a pleasant surprise. I expected an over-the-top goofy movie...a one watch and toss. But I was delighted to discover it has substance and stays on track. Little by little you learn just how wealthy these people are and that kept me interested. Loved the varied characters and was amazed by what came down the isle in the wedding scene. This is a keeper that I'll watch once a year.

Movie is FABULOUS! However this version, for whatever reason, is terrible quality! The image is blurry and straining on the eyes. It looks more like a bootleg than an actual DVD released and sold officially!

My review is for this product only since I have not been able to watch the movie yet. Although the description says DVD/BluRay/Digital, this is ONLY the BluRay copy. I contacted Target when I received the BluRay copy and was advised it would be corrected and they sent me another BluRay only copy. Target has graciously refunded me for the movie but as an FYI this is only a BluRay so if you do not have a BluRay player you will not be able to watch it.
