The instructions are horrible and in the end it falls apart as soon as you turn it on. Ours had a broken wire which I had to solder myself to repair. Notice in my photo the pieces laying by the robot. Those come off right away. Fortunately my daughter lost interest in this a number of hours ago so she didn't hear all of the swearing.
Horrible

Absolutely awful. Makes me question Mondo Llama. Used to be so consistent and had great kits. How did this one ever go to production?!

Zero stars. Directions difficult for two adults to understand. Small and unclear. Then once you finally get all the pieces together, it doesn't even work. Had we been building this around children, they would have heard our angry and frustrated profanity. Do not waste your money. Even if it was on sale. Not worth any amount of money.
Absolute Trash!

The instructions are microscopic, and it just shows you a picture tells you to put it together like the picture. Very unhelpful. When you do get it together, because the legs don't operate independently, it doesn't move, it just thrusts in place.
Horrible craft.

While my husband is putting this together cursing the directions for being incorrect, he told me to give it a one star review. I have come to do so and now see everyone else also agrees. This is terribly built, instructions impossible to follow (and if you do it’s incorrect), also the battery pack is not working. 0/10 craft activity.

The kit itself look to be a good arts and craft/STEM activity. After finish building and the batteries are placed, it begin to move. Although, it moves, it does not really move forward. The yellow stoppers keeps falling off when it is placed on the floor and the legs falls off. Now it is just a decorative piece instead of a walking robot. There are other art and craft wood building activity cheaper if it is only for decorative purposes. Not a good buy.

I bought this for my son and ended up putting it together myself with difficulty. The directions aren't written well and printed very small. It comes apart easily and breaks if you're not very careful. The battery pack seems to be put together opposite of what the instructions show. I would also recommend painting before you assemble. Overall not a great purchase, wish I would have used the money for a different gift.

The directions were not accurate, some of the pics were mislabeled with which numbers were supposed to be there. It was very hard to put together, and when the robot “walks” he doesn’t do it very well at all. It only walked for a few moments before he either falls apart or a foot breaks. Very poor design. Do not recommend buying this at all unless you want to have a disappointed child.
Fun, but needs better human centered design

Way to hard to put together, especially since the pictures in the instructions look slightly different than the real thing (crosses instead of straight lines). Looks like it's the difference between the 3d cad vs what's actually made in real life. Oh and the instructions require a microscope to see. Seems like they never tried putting this together themselves.

I wish I read the reviews before buying this Agree with all the reviews. Instructions terrible. Pieces terrible. The whole kit is awful!!! It doesn’t even deserve a 1 star!!!

Took a long time to put together and didn’t work - pieces broke and battery part didn’t connect properly. We LOVED all the other crafts from this company - especially the magnets and Christmas village globe. But this one was a dud!

What a complete piece of junk!! Instructions are so vague and the pieces barely fit together at all. I cannot believe someone gave this the okay to sell to children. I’m convinced students with engineering degrees would have a hard time figuring this thing out, let alone a 14 year old. Shame on whoever was behind this

As many others have said, the directions are impossible to read. I managed to follow them to a tee, doing constant comparison between the instructions and the box photo to ensure I was assembling it correctly. I had to get creative with the battery housing, as it was soldered opposite to how it was supposed to be per the instructions, but I didn't re-solder. It turned on, but all of the pins and gaskets immediately popped off every single time I turned it on. I tried to troubleshoot, moving the white gaskets to different spots, but it never improved. Gaskets and pins, popping off everywhere. What a waste of time and materials. Guaranteed to dissuade any child from a STEM career. How did this garbage make it through R&D and QA?!
