Creativity for Kids String Art Heart Light Craft Kit

Horrible craft. Messy and doesn’t hold well. Definitely not for younger kids.

This was a terrible, messy and pain in the neck craft. Once it was done, it only kept shape for a few days before caving inward.

Did it with the help of my 7 yo. It didn't take too long overall. It's really pretty and glows in the dark like advertised. Just follow the instructions. I'm worried it will change shape after hanging a while from the center, but it will still be pretty as a circle.

This kit is ridiculous. The glue is in one big clump, sorta like a half melted marshmallow, the balloon wouldn't stay inflated and the string kept getting knotted. We couldn't even get started with wrapping the string around the balloon because it kept falling off. All of the positive reviews are part of a paid promotion and have to be lies. So disappointing.

The kit comes with 1 inflatable heart, LED string lights, a battery box cover, crafting string, glow in the dark string, tassel making tool, craft glue, disposable craft gloves, plastic straw, twist ties and the instructions to make it. It is really neat and I love that is both glows in the dark and lights up. I can’t wait to hang it in my child’s room. It does require 2 AA batteries.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought this would be the perfect craft for my kids (7 and 8) to do together. It was a bit messy, but overall was successful. They did need help from an adult, so it isn’t something they could have done unsupervised. Very cute!

It took us maybe about 10 minutes to complete. It comes with everything needed and is a nice little keepsake.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Faber-Castell String Art Heart Light Is a neat art project. The finished lantern light is very cute. It was a little more difficult than some other 8 years old and up crafts my kids have done. As the directions state, it’s best to cover your workspace as it can get a little messy with the glue. My kids love their finished lantern light for their room.

It was a little overwhelming at first because the kit comes with so much stuff, but the instructions are really detailed and easy to understand, and there are lots of pictures, too. We really enjoyed the process of putting it all together, and my daughter is really proud to have the finished light hanging in her room. I would definitely recommend this!

We did do it outside just to make it alittle bit easier to do. It turned out really cool and my daughter rhas it hanging up in her room and she loves when it is night time so she can turn it in

It seemed like it was going to be a fun project for my 10-year-old, but the mylar balloon pooped when we were blowing it up. With the heart-shaped ballon popped, we really cannot use the kit. I don't know if a back-up balloon is an option, but we're going to try and purchase an alternate balloon to use the other materials of the kit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this art light project for my daughter and she loved it! My daughter is 6 and was able to put it together with a little help from me. It was such a fun project to do together and it looks so pretty hanging up in her room!

Worst. Craft. Ever. The string stuck to the balloon once deflated and the force to get it to separate made the heart misshape into a blob. We threw it away and decorated a small shelf in my daughters room with the lights.

As a parent I didn't enjoy it very much (I'm not very crafty and hate messes...lol), but my daughter did and that's what matters. It's a bit tedious, and takes some work, but the finished product is pretty cool. My daughter sleeps on the top bunk and loves to read at night before going to bed, but hates having to get up and turn the light off. So, she uses this as a light while reading and then turns it off before going to sleep. This kit comes with everything you need and is a good activity to do together or something to keep your busy child occupied.

Once I opened the package and read the instructions I did end up having to do most of the work because of the glue. The glue was a bit runny and my kids love to smear anything runny around my house. But I let my kids put the string around the balloon for them to get their hands on the project. I was concerned at first if there was enough glue for the string but there definitely was and it held up! I let it dry overnight and had my oldest child pop the balloon and I hanged the lights inside. Once I turned it on it was bright and adorable to look at. I currently have it in their room as their night light and they absolutely love it.

I would make sure you have a old sheet or plastic cover to use while doing this product, it may get messy, but you also have to have patience, but it’s easy to do and fun! You have to have the balloon inflated, then you wrap the yarn apply the lights with the wet string. Once it is good and dry pop the balloon! Then you’ll have a heart shape with lights decorative to hang in any room! The kids and I absolutely loved doing this craft together! This is highly recommended as a craft night or great gift to anyone!
