Crescent 4-1/2 in. Alloy Steel Mini Tongue and Groove Pliers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pliers are a great size for getting into tight spots, the jaws open up nice and wide for such a small unit. I have been using them for a month now and I have found that the small size allows for them to sit in my pocket unnoticed until they are needed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set of pliers has a lot to offer. Quality overall construction, well defined serrations on the jaws, and excellent tongue and groove channels. The pivot point is not sloppy and keeps the side play to a minimum aligning the jaws for better use. Their narrow width is useful in narrow cavities where space is a premium. This is NOT a heavy duty set of pliers. They are small and best used for more delicate work. This is not to say they are not substantial in their work effort to work production results. They are very useful in the right situation. These have been used in multiple hobbies and household projects with great success. Personally, the one shortcoming I have found is the spread of the handles when gripping. I have larger hands and find that the length and spread of the handles requires a more finger tipped clasp as opposed to a more palm centered grasp. It does require a bit of practice to find the best way to grip and utilize this pair of pliers. This is overcome quickly and does not detract from the ability to use the pliers as intended. I would recommend these pliers for hobbyists and anyone needing an effective set of pliers for a smaller or “delicate” usage.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The thing I like most about this pliers is that it doesn't feel weak, even though it's as small as it is. I expected the handles to wobble left to right because that is what I've found happens to smaller tools like this, but these feel very solid and I can tell they'll last. They only issue that I have is that I can't find a lot of uses for it yet, because of how small it is.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received these pliers my first impression was that they are well built and sturdy, but a little small for a carpenter’s purposes. I put them in my pouches, and was pleasantly surprised how often they have come in handy. I’ve been using them to pull finish nails and brads, staples out of lumber, and compressor drain plugs. They don’t mar the way a cat’s paw tends to, and they take up very little space in my tool belt. Definitely recommend to other carpenters! I can see how they’d also be useful to anyone in electronics for holding small nuts during assembly/disassembly. Granted, I’ve only been using them for a few weeks, but they have held up well and feel sturdy in my hand. The grip is comfortable and the dipped handle doesn’t slip the way so many sleeved handles do. Overall great tool!

These are great for tight spaces and when you just don’t need a big heavy pair. Smal so they don’t take a lot of space in your toolbox or IN YOUR POCKET.

I didn't think Id get much use out of them but I swear I use them all the time. You can do way more with these little guys than you'd expect and they're small enough that you don't notice them in your pocket.

It seems to be of good quality, and I hope to find some useful purpose for it. Hopefully a specialist in some field would have more use for it.

It seems to be very strong and very durable for It’s size. if you have a need for a small pliers this is what you want.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this tool without realizing how small it actually was. While it is very well built, I don’t see myself using this tool very often. It may come in handy for holding a screw in a hard to reach area, but I can’t think of much use beyond that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received these pliers a couple weeks ago and used them for about a week before writing this review. These pliers are handy to keep in your pocket for a just in case type of tool. The only thing I didn't like about these was they had a lot of rattle, like they fit together very loose.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pliers have helped in 2 situations already where I had limited room/access. The first was when i needed to replace a flex disc on my lawn mower. It has an aftermarket motor that sits further back than the original factory location and my wrenches were too thick to fit in the space. I was able to get a good bite on the nut and then use another pair of Crescent pliers to grab on and squeeze the handles of these mini pliers. I was then able to use a wrench on the bolt and get them all removed! No other tool i had was thin enough to fit in the space. These saved me from having to buy a set of specialty thin wrenches! I also used then i needed to remove some hard to access components doing a heater core replacement. I was able to get some 8mm bolts removed without needing to remove sections of the wirng harness. Overall, these work really well and are strong especially considering the size. No wobbles or noticeable flex. My only wish would be for a spring so they automatically open and thicker handles (though thats a personal preference). Great pliers and work really well for those tight areas.
