Garbage

These pens are absolute garbage. They're way over priced and really low quality. The first print we made looked great but it was all down hill from there. We destroyed the first pen because we pushed it down too far when putting it in, which was mostly our fault. The pen from the second pack ran out of ink after only a few prints. The pen from the third pack's tip was worn down after only a few prints, resulting in a poor quality print. And none of the prints ever looked as good as the very first one. This was a huge waste of money.

Like the cutting mats, Cricut needs to prove quality. These pens run out on no time, or they dry out. They need to make them so they can be refilled. Cutting matts are horrible quality. They go from too sticky to no stick in about 5 hours use.

Marker didn't last long

The pens are fine but the one I wanted - the marker - has dried up after very little use. I revived it for a bit by storing it nib downwards but now the pen is dry again. I need a constant width line, so the calligraphy pens won't work as a substitute. In future I'll buy the Metallic Pen Set instead - I presume 'Medium Point' equates to '1.0 marker'.

Went to use these for the first time since purchasing them a few weeks ago (just took them out of the package), and they were dried up :( Very disappointed I didn't even get one use out of them.

Not happy

I was working on a project that required a black fine point pen. To my horror, when I pulled off the cap, black ink went everywhere. I really mean everywhere. On me, my materials, mat, machine (both outside AND inside), table, and floor! The second fine point pen I used did the same thing to a lesser degree (ink just kind of oozed from the top continuously). And to add insult to injury, the other pens in the set I got don’t write smoothly- THEY seem to be somewhat dried out! I am typically very happy with the quality of Cricut products, but I’m very disappointed with these pens.

Great pen set. I have had them for over 9 months and used the glitter one for graduation cards in June and just used the calligraphy one in Oct. Worked great, even after all that time! Loved how the calligraphy turned out. I must have lucked out when I put the pen in my Explore because I just noticed it says to Insert calligraphy pen with the tip at a 45-degree angle to the machine, which I didn't do. I wish cricut would bring back more of the 1.0 marker choices.

I just checked my two dozen gold pens bought through the years (I know, what was my plan?!) because I need them for a big project and most reviews here were so negative. Absolutely every one works just fine. Phew.

Dried out After 1 Use

I bought these pens against my better judgement. I had dark paper that I needed Gold to write on. After looking at the reviews I bought them because I really had no other choice since I do not have experience with calligraphy myself. Like other reviewers, my pens dried out. My first calligraphy pen dried out during the 5th invitation I was making (keep in mind my invites had maybe 20 words on it) and the second calligraphy 2.0 pen dried out during the first use. I am extremely disappointed. I wrote the company, but we’ll see what they do about it. I now need to find a new method for my Save the Dates which I have already invested time and money in for supplies... would not recommend to anyone.

I went thru 4 markers just to complete 20 cards and all it involved was a 6 letter name. I couldn’t even complete the 20 . At least know I now what to expect from these markers

Doesn't even work

I bought these to address my wedding envelopes. The gel pen writes well but its hard to read on the darker paper. The rest of the markers didn't even write legibly or dark. The first letter shows up and the rest is either barely visible or barely visible and completely blurry. They are basically unusable, and they are brand new. I'm not happy with these markers at all! They were a total waste of money. Im just glad i was smart enough to do tests first and didn't ruin my envelopes.

too blunt and setting not clear

I tried using this on a project and the tip was too blunt to do standard letters the tip also looked like it was getting smashed the first time. the list shows felt tip so I selected that. the actual name on the package does not show up on my list of pen options.

Nice Gold Color

I bought a pack of these to use for a couple major projects. So far I'm on my third one, and all have worked perfectly. My only issue with these pens, and probably any felt tip pen, that if used extensively on Cricut's textured cardstock, the tip gets more and more blunt, making the lines it draws a bit too wide. I really like the Cricut cardstock, but the cardstock doesn't like the felt tip pens.

Purchased these, and about 3 weeks later tried to use them. They were all dried out. Stored them upside down to see if they’d recharge; and nothing. Ended up in garbage.
